Red Dead Redemption 2 Fast Travel Map Unlock

Red Dead Redemption 2 Fast Travel – How to Unlock the Fast Travel Map

Rockstar’s long-awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now, and it’s one vast game. The game map itself is huge, and it’ll take a lot of time to explore. A Fast Travel system would be handy, but is there one in the game? If so, how do you use and access RDR2 Fast Travel? Can you use it from any place, and go anywhere? We’ve got the answers.

How to Use Red Dead Redemption 2 Fast Travel

The good news is that yes, there is a system of Fast Travel in Red Dead Redemption 2. The bad news is that it’s not as simple as just selecting a spot on a map and immediately being transported there by magic. There are two ways to quickly travel across the map: stagecoaches and railroads. With the railroad, you can go to a Post Office and buy a train ticket to travel to any town along the train line. Stagecoaches are much the same.

There’s a more direct way to Fast Travel which you can arrange these from your Gang Camp tent. Once you’ve upgraded the Gang Camp enough, you’ll unlock access to a fast travel map. You can use this map from within the camp to select any town you’ve previously been to, and you’ll travel from the camp to the town. It’s only to places you’ve been to before, and you can’t travel back to the camp.

There are three upgrades to the Gang Camp, and you can see and purchase these in your camp ledger. The first is bare, simple shelter. The second is a comfier arrangement with extra features. With the third and final upgrade purchased, you’ll be given “a map to help plan journeys.” This is what you use to Fast Travel from the camp.
