Football Manager 2019 System Requirements – Can My PC Run FM 2019?

Before you go and make an impulse buy and say bye bye to your social life, you’re probably want to go and check the Football Manager 2019 system requirements before you over-commit. The FM 19 PC specs, thankfully, aren’t all that bad so, the answer to the question of “Can my PC run Football Manager 2019?” is almost certainly going to be a positive one.

Football Manager 2019 System Requirements – Can My PC Run FM 2019?

Chances are, you’re a-ok on this front. Just to be sure, here’s the full list of official Football Manager 2019 PC specs from the official site:

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64 or 32-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core or AMD Athlon – 2.2 GHz+
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Intel GMA X4500, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT or AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 – 256MB VRAM
  • Storage required: 7 GB
  • Direct X 9.0 required

As you can tell, not a lot of juice required at all. While some may still struggle with loading more than a dozen leagues (we’ll get to that in a moment), even the most basic of laptops for circa £300/$399 will be more than enough to get things done in-game with everything running at a smooth, stable pace.

Football Manager 2019 System Requirements – How to Improve Performance

There are ways you can go about improving performance, though, especially if you’re on the lower end of the RAM scale.

First things first, set certain leagues to “View Only” instead of “Playable” upon setting up your career. That, plus keeping a “Small” database, will improve game speed significantly. Also, the “Detail Level” option, which can be found upon pressing the “FM” button in the top-right corner, is a perfect place to tinker and finetune. For example, setting the vast majority of match detail settings to “None” instead of “Mixed” will ensure a much faster processing speed when rolling through seasons, particularly in the international break.

Finally, don’t forget to upgrade your drivers. You can check if that’s been done from the game’s main menu.
