Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.04 Update Patch Notes – What’s Changed in the New Update?

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.04 update went live for the PS4 and Xbox One earlier today. It’s only been two days since the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.03 update, so this new 1.04 update is smaller in size and functions more as a hotfix rather than a major update. Ubisoft has not provided any Assassin’s Creed Odyssey update 1.04 patch notes, but the information below has been taken from the update history on the PS4.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.04 Update Patch Notes – Improved Stability and Resilience to Network Outage

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.04 update arrives at only 0.16 GB and 0.1 GB on the PS4 and Xbox One, respectively. As such, this new update only brings with it minor improvements, including “improved stability” and “improved resilience to network outage.” The latter is actually quite welcome, especially since some players have reported encountering problems when the network is experiencing certain difficulties. Certain problems have also popped up when the network is weaker than usual, resulting in occasional framerate lags and issues with the Photo Mode.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.04 Update Patch Notes – Game-Breaking Issues Addressed

The new update also mentions addressing “various game-breaking issues that could happen in specific conditions.” According to Ubisoft, the following issues have been addressed in the new update for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game:

  • Cultist Disguise Fix – An issue preventing players from being able to unequip or change out of the Cultist disguise
  • Game Crash – An issue where starting a New Game on the Xbox One would lead to crashes to the dashboard

Unfortunately, the new 1.04 update won’t be releasing for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Perhaps the developer is working on a different update with other priorities for PC players. In the meantime, we’ll have to wait for the official patch notes from Ubisoft for more details and information on the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 1.04 update.
