Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lieutenant Evie Not Unlocking – How to Fix

Many players are having a serious issue with their Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lieutenant Evie not unlocking. The Assassin’s Creed Syndicate protagonist is one of several Ubisoft Club Rewards, and she’s eligible to join your ship, the Adrestria, after you reach a certain point in the game. However, the bonus shipmate just isn’t popping for many. Let’s look at what the issue might be, and whether there’s a Lieutenant Evie fix.

Why is the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lieutenant Evie Not Unlocking?

The official line is, according to Ubisoft, players will need to wait to reach the point where they can unlock your first Lieutenant during the events of the story before Lieutenant Evie will unlock in-game. That occurs shortly after you leave Kephallonia with Barnabas after completing the first Episode. Ideally, you shouldn’t purchase her before then.

However, due to the sheer amount of people who have bought the Ubisoft Club Reward and haven’t received anything, despite an “Owned” message on the Rewards page, it’s probably a far deeper issue. Ubisoft are “currently looking into” the matter, which indicates that it’s a problem on the developer’s end. Expect a hotfix for it shortly, though there does appear to be a couple of hit-and-miss workarounds to try in the meantime.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lieutenant Evie – Is There a Fix?

According to some Reddit users, and Ubisoft Support on Twitter, Evie will randomly join your crew once you’ve recruited another Lieutenant. This hasn’t been confirmed to work on a widespread scale, though, so it looks like your best bet would be to not purchase Lieutenant Evie until the glitch has been ironed out.

To be on the safe side, if you do purchase her, it’s probably a good idea to ensure you have at least one Lieutenant slot available, in case that’s the cause of the issue.
