Call of Duty Black Ops 4 pc early preload

How to Access the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PC Early Preload

A trick to enable a Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PC early preload has been found ahead of launch. Gamers were supposed to be unable to access the game or preload it ahead of release day. However, it seems that some PC players have found a way around this with a loophole. Here’s how to do it yourself.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PC Early Preload – How Do I Get It?

According to Reddit user CrypticPlayer, Black Ops 4 players on PC can preload it without a key. CrypticPlayer discovered that players who hadn’t deleted their beta install saw that the full game had become available. This update appeared thanks to Battle.net, the Blizzard-developed platform, which allows PC players to play Black Ops 4 if they link their account via the Call of Duty website. Battle.net apparently checks to ensure that players have the latest update to their games installed. This should explain how some players are able to get the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PC early preload.

Another Reddit user, Mendecj812, also found another way to circumnavigate the wait. Mendecj812 forced Battle.net to download the full game without even having the Black Ops 4 beta installed. You can access this by heading to the Call of Duty website. Press the Shift key and right-click on your mouse once there. If you select “Open PowerShell Window Here”, you can type in a code that will grant access to the preload. Simply type out “.Battle.net.exe –game=viper –install” – without the quotation marks – and it should work.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PC Early Preload – What About Other Platforms?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 developer Treyarch has tried to prevent preload ahead of release day. Players will need to download a mammoth 50GB day one patch when it launches, as Treyarch look to prevent some players dropping spoilers. Those who had a disc copy before launch day, be it on PS4 or Xbox One, posted images on social media that showed that they couldn’t access the game until they install the patch. Other users have received their copies early – such as those pre-ordered at UK store GAME – so they can preload the game ahead of Friday’s release day.
