Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out this week and despite some flaws it’s a fun game. One of the best parts of the game is the ship and naval combat, and one of the neatest aspects is recruiting lieutenants for your ship from around the world. These can be recruited through side-missions or force, but one particularly cool unlockable lieutenant is Evie from Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Evie is one of the most useful characters you can have on your ship, but how do you get her? It’s quite easy… unless you’re on PC.
How to Unlock Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Evie
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate‘s Evie can be unlocked by signing into Ubisoft Club. On PS4 and Xbox One this must be done through the main menu, and if you haven’t got an Ubisoft account you can freely register for one. Then open the Club page (it’s the bottom picture to the right on the main menu) and select ‘Rewards’. Scroll down and you’ll see Evie on the left! Select her and you’ll unlock her.
You’ll have to get to a certain point in the game, either when you unlock the ship or possibly when you hit 7500 XP. You’ll need the ship, either way. Then go to the Ship page and select a ‘Special Lieutenant’ on the right. Evie should be there, so just select her, and she should appear on your ship! It’s a bit lore-breaking, but it’s good to see her.
This is a bit different for PC owners, in a very bad way. If you’re using PC you’ll already be logged into it through Uplay, Ubisoft’s digital service, but that’s where the easy part ends. You need to earn the ‘Master Assassin’ badge in Uplay to unlock Evie on PC, and to do this you have to get 7500 XP… in every Assassin’s Creed game on PC. Does that include spin-offs like Rogue and Chronicles? Bit of a rum deal you’ve got there, PC owners. However, the good news is, if you have a PS4 or Xbox One version of the game and unlock Evie using the method above, on the same Ubisoft account you use for Uplay, you’ll get Evie on PC as well!
What Can Evie Do?
Aside from being a time-traveler apparently, Evie is also a really good fighter. In a boarding situation she’ll leap right into action and get stuck in with a long spear. Aside from that, she’s one of the best lieutenants you can have as she’s as a Legendary character with three major ship bonuses: 9% Javelin damage, 15% Fire Javelin damage, and +18% damage when your ship is low on health. Not bad for a character appearing 2300 years too early.
