In Assassins Creed Odyssey you can expect to get into a lot of fights with fierce enemies, or take on huge forts packed with soldiers. In Assassins Creed Odyssey being able to tag enemies is a useful function, but the game doesn’t tell you how to do it. How do you tag enemies in Assassins Creed Odyssey? Let us show you how.
Assassins Creed Odyssey Tag Enemies: How To Do It
In Ubisoft’s other open-world franchise, Far Cry, you can tag enemies by scanning them with your binoculars. There aren’t any binoculars in Assassins Creed Odyssey, so you have to use the next best thing: Ikaros, your eagle. Activate the bird using Up on the D-pad, if you’re using a gamepad, and scout the area. Then, hold left trigger to hold Ikaros in place and zoom in. If you pan across an area where enemies are located, they should automatically get tagged.
Tagged enemies then appear on-screen at all times, so you can easily track enemy moments. This is especially useful when dealing with forts or other areas with lots of armed opponents. Head to the edge of the area, crouch in a bush where soldiers can’t see you, then use Ikaros to tag enemies and plan your next move. A vital skill.
What Else Can Ikaros Tag?
You’ll quickly discover that Ikaros is one of the most useful parts of Assassins Creed Odyssey. Aside from enemies, he can tag basically anything of significant interest. Predatory animals for a start, and if they’re caged in the middle of a fort you can free them to unleash a bit of chaos.
Ikaros can also tag location objectives, such as treasure chests, tablets, fragments, or war supplies that desperately need burning. We love Ikaros, and you’ll probably love him even more so once he spots that mercenary on his way to kill you.
