FIFA 19 Ultimate Team Tips Guide: What’s Changed This Year?

FIFA 19 Ultimate Team Tips Guide

Every season, FIFA’s Ultimate Team offerings change to some extent. FIFA 19 is no different. Alongside tweaks to chemistry, Player Pack odds, and new Champions League Player Cards, there has been one particularly big change. There is an all-new mode this time around. Division Rivals is a replacement for the traditional Online Seasons, and with it comes quite a lot of new changes. In Division Rivals, you’ll be challenging other players online at a similar skill level to your own. You’ll take part in five placement matches that will determine your Division. There are ten Divisions and five skill rankings within each one. The better you do, the better the choice of rewards you’ll receive at the end of each week.

We’ll now qualify for the Weekend League via Division Rivals. Each win will grant you points towards qualification that you can choose to cash in at any time. The full details of the exciting new mode can be found in our extensive guide, right here.

FIFA 19 Ultimate Team Tips Guide: How to Get Coins Quickly

FIFA 19 Ultimate Team Tips Guide

Despite the changes to Ultimate Team in FIFA 19, some things never change. You’ll still be awarded with coins upon every match played, with more earned the better you do. You can buy any player, stadium, or useful item with the coins you accrue. Understandably, you’ll be wanting to earn coins quickly. Thankfully, we’re here to tell you how.

As in every game, you can buy coin boosts from your EASFC catalogue. This is accessible from any menu in the game by clicking the right stick, and can be found at the top of the screen. There are plenty of coin boost packs to buy. The better the coin boost, the more points it will set you back to buy. Everything you do in FIFA 19 levels up your FIFA profile level rank. Indeed, your level carries on through each game. Therefore, if you’ve played plenty of previous entries, you’ll have plenty of coins to spend. Each game you play, whether offline or online, gives you the listed coin boost.

The full list of available coin boosts can be read below:

  • 200 Coins for 5 Matches (Level 2)
  • 200 Coins for 5 Matches (Level 5)

Another easy way to earn some quick bucks in Ultimate Team is to play singleplayer Seasons matches on Professional difficulty. This will strike the right balance of risk/reward and see you (hopefully) winning more than losing. Another great tip to get coins quickly in Ultimate Team is to bulk buy Fitness Cards and other consumables. Once bought, you can sell them at a small profit each time. Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) are also a good way to earn quick coins in Ultimate Team.

FIFA 19 Ultimate Team Tips Guide: Easy SBCs

FIFA 19 Ultimate Team Tips Guide

SBCs can be good for building up your coin and Player Pack reserves. However, some easy SBCs will earn you rewards for little work on your end. A full list of the easiest SBCs can be found below, with respective rewards in brackets:

  • Let’s Get Started/Three easy challenges (Two Player Pack)
  • Let’s Move Forward /Exchange Bronze Players for Gold Player Picks (Improves your starting team with Gold players)
  • League and Nation Basics/Build Squads with Basic League and Nation Requirements (1x mixed Players)
  • Let’s Keep Going/Basic Squad Building Techniques, 4 Challenges (1x Premium Loan Player Reward Pack)

Aside from these four easy SBCs, there is another that deserves special attention. The Gold Upgrade Challenge is a particularly easy task to tackle, and it is repeatable ad nauseum. All you need to do to complete the challenge is exchange 11 unwanted Gold Players. Doing this will award you with a Two Rare Gold Players Pack. You can do this as often as you like, but be warned, the players you win in the pack are untradeable.
