Pokemon Go Leaks Brand New Pokemon For Pokemon Let’s Go

A recent leak from Pokemon Go has revealed a brand new Pokemon. Niantic often conduct network testing before launching an update, so when a new Pokemon is being added to the game, people keeping an eye out can usually spot them well ahead of time. This is how leaks usually work, but this time it seems a little different. The most recent leak suggests that Niantic isn’t just updating Pokemon Go by adding new Pokemon from the established roster, but that there’s a brand new Pokemon for Pokemon Let’s Go on the way.

Pokemon Let’s Go New Pokemon

It was already known that Pokemon Let’s Go was going to feature a new Pokemon, but it seemed likely that the details of this would be kept hidden until the game released. However, Serebii.net has reported that an image of the Pokemon has been leaked during the most recent round of Pokemon GO! network testing.

So, the new Pokemon is a little… different, to say the least. Most people were probably expecting something more in line with Legendary Pokemon, but you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Jirachi, Celebi, and Mew don’t look like much, but are some of the most powerful Pokemon in the franchise. Also, it’s highly likely that this character model will be refined before its released in-game. This could just be a working model for now, as there’s a ways to go before released date yet.

Although it was known that Pokemon Let’s Go would be getting a new Pokemon, it wasn’t known that the Pokemon was set to be added to Pokemon GO! as well, so that’s brand new information. How Niantic will go about adding the Pokemon to Pokemon GO! is anyone’s guess, but it seems that they are planning to do so.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee are set to release on the Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018.
