Pokémon Go Raid Map: How to Locate Raids in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go‘s latest timed event – the Pokémon Go Ultra Bonus event – is now underway, and players have spent the past weekend getting to grips with the influx of Generation One Pokémon. The addition of Mewtwo plus the legendary bird trio Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are all in circulation as raid boss battles, and you’ll have the chance to catch them if you missed out on their last appearances. But how do you even go about locating raids in Pokémon Go? Here’s our guide to locating a Pokémon Go raid map.

Pokémon Go Raid Map: Why are Raid Locations Important?

For starters, you’ll want to complete raids on gyms to catch the Pokémon mentioned above. It’s the only way you’ll be able to add them to your Pokédex and, given that Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are only in rotation until September 20, you’ll want to get a move on to add them to your collection. You’ll also require around 90 minutes – give or take – to battle and potentially nab them, so the less time you spend looking for a Pokémon Go raid map, the better it is for you.

Pokémon Go Raid Map: How to Find a Pokémon Go Raid Map?

The best way to find a Pokémon Go raid battle is to keep checking the “Nearby” tab on the Pokémon Go app. This will give you a good indication of what raid battles are near to you. You’ll want to focus on this bit of the app if you’re after Mewtwo or any of the legendary birds.

Aside from that, your next best bet is the internet. Sites such as GymHuntr and PokémonGoMap are Pokémon Go raid maps that are regularly updated, so try one of those if you want to find a gym nearby that’ll help you locate one of the above quartet. With Niantic continuing to crack down on third-party apps, it’s possible that some of these raid trackers will no longer be functional. We’ll continue to update this page with new and working apps.
