Spider-Man PS4 Suits List Costume Unlock Guide

Spider-Man PS4 Suits List: All Costumes and Suit Powers

Spider-Man PS4 has 38 suits that give Spidey the ability to unleash several different suit powers. These costumes range from the stylish to the weird, the obscure, and everything in-between. They include the new Sam Raimi suit, as well as the Into the Spider-Verse suit and all DLC suits currently released. Only a true Spider-Man webhead will want to collect them all. You won’t start would with all the suits in Spider-Man PS4, though, you’ll have to earn them over the course of the game.

Some suits can be unlocked by accomplishing specific tasks, or completing DLC missions, while others have a level requirement before you’ll get the chance to purchase them. There’s more reason than just wanting to strut down the sidewalk Emo-Spidey style to unlock these suits too. Most of them come with a special power that you can use to better combat your enemies.

Below we’ve got a list of all 42 costumes in Spider-Man PS4 and what you need to do to unlock each suit.

Spider-Man-Classic-Suit-Damaged

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete story mission “Something Old, Something New.”
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None

Spider-Man PS4 Classic Suit (Repaired)

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete story mission “Something Old, Something New.”
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: Web Blossom
    • Spider-Man leaps in the air and goes crazy with his web shooters. Very good if you’re surrounded by weaker goons.

  • First Appearance: Amazing Fantasy Vol. 1 #15 (1962)

Spider-Man PS4 Noir Suit

Spider-Man-Noir-Suit

  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Two Backpack Tokens
    • One Base Token
  • Suit Power: Sound of Silence
    • For a short period of time enemies won’t call for backup when you alert them. This one is pretty useless.

Spider-Man PS4 Spider-Armor MK II Suit

Spider-Man-Spider-Armor-MK-II-Suit

  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • One Base Token
    • One Landmark Token
    • Two Research Tokens
  • Suit Power: Bullet Proof
    • You can magnetically polarize your suit which will make you bulletproof against all enemies.
  • Info: Man, this armor is cool looking. The Spider-Armor MK II was my go-to suit for a good chunk of the game. You look like some bad-ass Spider-Man Stormtrooper or something.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #656 (1999)

Spider-Man PS4 Secret War Suit

Spider-Man-Secret-War-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 7

    • Two Backpack Tokens
    • One Base Token
    • Two Research Tokens
  • Suit Power: Arms Race
    • Build up EMP and discharge it to stun enemies and disable their weapons.
  • Info: This suit isn’t too shabby looking either. Spidey looks good in black and this costume based on the SHIELD suit from Secret Wars.
  • First Appearance: Original Costume

Spider-Man PS4 Stark Suit

Spider-Man-Stark-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 9
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • One Base Token
    • Three Crime Tokens
    • One Research Token
  • Suit Power: Spider-Bro
    • This incredibly useful power lets you call in a Spider-Bro to fight alongside you. This little fellow is especially useful when fighting rooftop baddies. Just swing by and activate Spider-Bro and watch the goons fall.
  • Info: The Stark Suit is based on the suit seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming and features the Spider-Bro gadget you Peter Parker uses in the movie.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Spider-Man PS4 Negative Suit

Spider-Man-Negative-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 11
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • One Base Token
    • Two Landmark Tokens
    • One Research Token
  • Suit Power: Negative Shockwave
    • Charge up negative energy and slam the ground with an area attack. One of the more useful suit powers.

Spider-Man-Electrically-Insulated-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 13
  • Crafting Materials Needed:

    • Three Crime Tokens
    • One Research Token
  • Suit Power: Electric Punch
    • Electrify your gauntlets and then electrify your enemies with a massive haymaker.
  • Info: This suit was known as the Electro-Proof costume in the comics, and, predictably, was made so Spidey could better fight Electro.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #425 (1997)

Spider-Man PS4 Spider-Punk

Spider-Man-Spider-Punk-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 16
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Two Backpack Tokens
    • Three Crime Tokens
    • Two Landmark Tokens
  • Suit Power: Rock Out
    • Spider-Punk can jam out to some beats and blast enemies with the soundwaves.
  • Info: Spider-Punk is Earth-138’s Spider-Man, and in that universe, everything is kind of a crappy version of The Warriors. Use the power of punk rock to turn Mister Negative’s goons into something a little more positive.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol 3 #10 (2015)

Spider-Man PS4 Wrestler Suit

Spider-Man-Wrestler-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 19
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Two Backpack Tokens
    • Two Base Tokens
    • Two Research Tokens
  • Suit Power: King of the Ring
    • Wrasslin’ Spidey can web throw enemies without even webbing them up.
  • Info: Wrestling Spidey first turned up way back in 1962, but this game’s rendition seems to be pulled from the first Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie. Put the suplex on the baddies and think back to Spider-Man’s more formative days with this suit.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man (2002)

Spider-Man PS4 Fear Itself Suit

Spider-Man-Fear-Itself-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 21
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Two Base Tokens
    • Six Challenge Tokens
    • Three Research Tokens
  • Suit Power: Quad Damage
    • Nano muscles briefly quadruple the amount of damage you do.
  • Info: This sweet suit was made by Tony Stark and the Dwarves of Nidavellir in the Fear Itself crossover series. Unfortunately, it was also later destroyed by Tony Stark, but you can relive the awesomeness of this costume in this game.
  • First Appearance: Fear Itself #7 (2011)

Spider-Man PS4 Stealth (“Big Time”) Suit

Spider-Man-Stealth-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 23
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Two Base Tokens
    • Four Challenge Tokens
    • Three Landmark Tokens
  • Suit Power: Blur Projector
    • You can use this to create a distortion field that will hide you from enemies that haven’t already been alerted.
  • Info: This suit was created to counteract Hobgoblin’s sonic powers. It bends light and sound around it and renders Spider-Man effectively invisible.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #650

Spider-Man PS4 Spider Armor – Mark III Suit

Spider-Man-Spider-Armor-MK-III-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 26

    • Two Base Tokens
    • Four Crime Tokens
    • Four Research Tokens
  • Suit Power: Titanium Alloy Plates
    • With this power, you can temporarily deflect all bullets back towards their shooter except for snipers.
  • Info: This suit was created by Spider-Man to protect from firearms. It slows him down but provides superior protection to his regular costume.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #682

Spider-Man PS4 2099 Black Suit

Spider-Man-2099-Black-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 29

    • Two Base Tokens
    • Four Crime Tokens
    • Four Research Tokens
  • Suit Power: Low Gravity
    • When you activate low gravity, you’ll fall slower when in the air.
  • Info: Predictably, this is the suit of Spider-Man in the year 2099. Miguel O’Hara held the mantle in 2099, and this suit looks a bit more sinister than the original Spider-Man costume. Kinda like Spawn or something.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #365

Spider-Man PS4 Iron Spider Suit

Spider-Man-Iron-Spider-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 31
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Three Base Tokens
    • Three Challenge Tokens
    • Four Crime Tokens
  • Suit Power: Iron Arms

  • Info: Tony Stark crafted this costume for Spidey using the same tech that went into the Iron Man suit.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #529

Spider-Man PS4 Velocity Suit

Spider-Man-Velocity-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Level 33
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Two Backpack Tokens
    • Four Challenge Tokens
    • Two Landmark Tokens
  • Suit Power: Blitz
    • When you activate the Blitz suit power, you’ll gain the ability to go fast. Kinda like Sonic the Hedgehog if he was half-spider and half-human.
  • Info: This suit was created exclusively for the game by comic book and film artist Adi Granov.
  • First Appearance: Original Costume

Spider-Man PS4 Spider-Armor – MK IV Suit

Spider-Man-Spider-Armor-MK-IV-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 35
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Four Base Tokens
    • Four Challenge Tokens
    • Three Landmark Tokens
  • Suit Power: Defense Shield
    • This temporary shield will absorb any and all damage directed at Spider-Man for a limited time.
  • Info: This is an upgraded version of the Mark III armor which is lighter and more agile. It protects him without the slowdown faced when wearing other suits. It has a ton of sensors and gadgets, and it looks pretty sweet to boot.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol 4 #1 (2015)

Spider-Man PS4 Spirit Spider

Spider-Man-Spirit-Spider-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 37
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Six Base Tokens
    • Six Challenge Tokens
    • Six Crime Tokens
  • Suit Power: Spirit Fire
    • You can get extra creepy by channeling ethereal energy into fiery waves. Who knows where it comes from, but it might be Ghost Rider’s septic tank.
  • Info: This is an original suit that looks like Ghost Rider, and Peter Parker had a baby. If you’re into spoopy skeletons, then you’ll love this costume.
  • First Appearance: Original Suit

Spider-Man PS4 2099 White Suit

Spider-Man-2099-White-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 39
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Four Base Tokens
    • Four Challenge Tokens
    • Four Crime Tokens
  • Suit Power: Concussion Strike
    • Power up with the Concussion Strike suit power and Spider-Man gains a massive buff to his knockback power.
  • Info: Through a really complex sequence of events, Peter Parker and Miguel O’Hara end up meeting each other. Peter creates this suit for Miguel which makes him look less like a bad guy.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man 2099 Vol. 3 #1 (2015)

Spider-Man PS4 Vintage Comic Book Suit

Spider-Man-Vintage-Comic-Book-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 41
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Four Backpack Tokens
    • Four Challenge Tokens
    • Four Crime Tokens
  • Suit Power: Quips
    • Peter Parker really ups the ante with his terrible commentary on everything when you activate Quips. The enemy will be sent reeling with the cringe this power induces.
  • Info: This is as old school as you can get with Spider-Man. It’s basically a cel-shaded version of the Classic Suit with a different suit power.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Fantasy Vol. 1 #15 (1962)

Spider-Man PS4 Last Stand Suit

Spider-Man-Last-Stand-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach Level 45
  • Crafting Materials Needed:
    • Twenty Crime Tokens
  • Suit Power: Unrelenting Fury
    • Spider-Man gets super mad, and enemies can’t block or interrupt any of your attacks, even if they have weapons or shields.
  • Info: This suit belongs to the Spider-Man of Earth-312500. In this universe, Peter Parker murders Kraven the Hunter and brawls with the NYPD before being shot to death. Pretty grim.
  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #500 (2003)

Spider-Man PS4 Undies Suit

Spider-Man-Undies-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete All Main Missions, Side Quests, and reach 100% completion in all districts.
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: Equalizer
    • This may be the most potent suit ability in the game. When activated you can one-shot any enemy. The trade-off is that they can also one-shot you.
  • Info: Sometimes disaster can strike when you least expect it. The undies costume shows the worst case scenario for Peter as all he has is his Spidey-Skivvies and mask to protect him from the elements.
  • First Appearance: Original Suit

Spider-Man PS4 Homemade Suit

Spider-Man-Homemade-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Find all 55 backpacks.
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: This harkens to the most recent Spider-Man movie. In Spider-Man: Homecoming Peter Parker makes a homemade suit after his original is taken from him by Tony Stark.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Spider-Man PS4 Anti-Ock Suit

Spider-Man-Anti-Ock-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Reach story mission “Pax in Bello.”
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: Resupply
    • When activated, Resupply will continuously replenish your gadget stocks. This means you can go wild with the Spider Drones and web shot.
  • Info: This original suit is used in the game during the big boss fight with Doc Ock. Given Octavius’s sympathetic portrayal in the game, it’s a shame such a powerful weapon has to be turned against Parker’s former mentor.
  • First Appearance: Original Suit

Spider-Man PS4 Dark Suit

Spider-Man-Dark-Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete all Black Cat Stakeout side missions.
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: Some of Peter Parker’s adventures get pretty dark, like the one behind the creation of this suit. In a crossover, Deadpool is hired to kill Peter Parker, but then in Deadpool-fashion decides that Spider-Man is his BFF. This suit is created when Parker is brought out of purgatory after meeting Mephisto, the entity that wiped his relationship with Mary-Jane from his memory.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man/Deadpool #8 (2016)

  • First Appearance: Spider-Man PS4

Scarlet Spider II Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete every single mission, side-mission, and activity in The City That Never Sleeps
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: Loosely based on Kaine Parker’s design after he took on the mantle of the Scarlet Spider, the fourth person to do so since the character’s debut in 1994.
  • First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #672 (2011)

Spider-UK Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete The City That Never Sleeps mission “Show Me The Money”
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: Cor blimey, chaps. This British Spidey made his debut in 2014’s Edge of Spider-Verse series. He, bizarrely, doesn’t have a Spider-Sense. Probably ate too much fish and chips.
  • First Appearance: Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (2014)

spider-man ps4 suits

Spider-Armor Mk 1 Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete Turf Wars mission “Blindsided”
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: In need of a bit of extra protection after some baddies packing high-powered weaponry muscle in on some turf in the Big Apple (see, it all fits!), Peter Parker devises a brand-new get-up to help clunkily defeat the criminals. It slowed Spidey down a lot, though this change isn’t reflected in-game.
  • First Appearance: Web of Spider-Man #100 (1992)

Spider-Clan Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete 10 Hammerhead Crimes, both Hammerhead Fronts, and both Screwball Challenges

  • Info: One of the many, many Spideys to appear in the Spider-Verse storyline, Spider-Clan comes from Earth-2301, a universe otherwise known as the mangaverse. Yes, there are ninjas.
  • First Appearance: Marvel Mangaverse: Spider-Man #1 (2002)

Iron Spider Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete the main story in Turf Wars
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: After joining Tony Stark’s side in the Civil War event, Peter Parker managed to wrangle a sweet-looking Iron Spider suit out of the allegiance shift. Its red and yellow colors harken back to classic Iron Man designs.
  • First Appearance: Peter Parker: The Amazing Spider-Man 529 (2006)

spider-man ps4 suits

Into the Spider-Verse Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete the Silver Lining DLC 100% (all missions, side-missions, and activities)
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: Peter Parker, but not as you might know him. The blonde-haired superhero (voiced by Chris Pine in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) is on the verge of stopping Kingpin’s plans to create a multiverse collider. Miles Morales eventually gets caught up in this messy web.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

Aaron Aikman Armor Suit

  • Unlock Requirement: Complete the first mission in the Silver Lining DLC
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: A one-and-done version of Spidey in Edge of Spider-Verse, Aaron Aikman hails from Earth-31411 and, like Peter Parker, is an exceptionally gifted scientist, hence the super-powered suit.
  • First Appearance: Edge of Spider-Verse #3 (2014)

Cyborg Spider-Man

  • Unlock Requirement: Finish the main story in the Silver Lining DLC
  • Crafting Materials Needed: None
  • Suit Power: None
  • Info: Talk about a deep cut. Cyborg Spider-Man’s first appearance was in a long-forgotten toy line based on Spider-Man: The Animated Series. A storyline which saw Peter Parker turn into a cyborg never made it to the show itself, but it’s a wonderful curio of the ’90s.
  • First Appearance: Spider-Man: The Animated Series toy line (1992)

Webbed Suit (Sam Raimi Suit)

  • Unlock Requirement: Update Spider-Man PS4 to 1.13
