Does Battlefield 5 Have Zombies

Battlefield 5 Zombies: Does Battlefield 5 Have Zombies?

DICE has announced a lot of new features that will be coming to Battlefield 5 this October, such as a Battle Royale mode, and the franchise’s return to a World War Two setting. Also, the developers are taking a leaf out of some of the more realistic shooters’ books by implementing scarcity gameplay mechanics, such as low ammo and HP bars. Although fans of the series are excited about these features, there’s still only one question on everybody’s mind: Is Battlefield 5 Zombies coming to the game?

Battlefield 5 Zombies: Does Battlefield 5 Have Zombies?

Call of Duty‘s Zombies mode has established itself as one of the most iconic game modes in contemporary FPS. Although the concept is simple – play with friends and try to survive against waves of zombies for as long as you can – it has been well-reviewed in Treyarch titles ever since its introduction in Call of Duty: World at War.

Call of Duty and Battlefield are two of the biggest shooter titles with realistic settings out there at the moment, so it’s only natural that they’re both in contention for top dog. Each franchise has borrowed gameplay aspects from its opponent at every turn in the road, and it would make sense for Battlefield 5 to attempt to create a Zombies-esque game mode of its own. However, nothing regarding Battlefield 5 Zombies has been officially announced from DICE, nor EA.

Battlefield 5 Zombies: Does Battlefield 5 Need Zombies?

For sheer gameplay, Battlefield is widely renowned for providing a more well-rounded gameplay experience. From destructible environmental objects, to maps that are exponentially larger than those in Call of Duty, it would seem that Battlefield 5 should be leagues ahead of its counterpart. However, despite its adoption of the popular Battle Royale game mode, it still has nothing that can compare to Call of Duty‘s most beloved game mode.

Zombies facilitates couch co-op, as well as online play, either privately with friends, or in a public matchmaking lobby. Its accessibility, combined with the degree of fun it offers, makes it an essential pick for a shooter that attempts to compete with the likes of Call of Duty. That being said, there has been no confirmation from DICE in relation to whether or not the latest installment in the series will contain such a game mode. Here’s hoping!
