Shadow of the Tomb Raider System Requirements: What PC Specifications Do You Need?

Shadow of the Tomb Raider lands on PC and consoles on September 14, and PC gamers are already wondering what Shadow of the Tomb Raider‘s system requirements are. The gaming collaboration between Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal is certain to put even the best computers under some form of pressure, but what specifications do players need to run the final installment in the revamped Tomb Raider trilogy?

Shadow of the Tomb Raider System Requirements: What do You Need?

Shadow of the Tomb Raider‘s system requirements are stated as ‘to be confirmed’ on the Steam store webpage, but other websites seem to have a vague idea of what players will need to be able to run it smoothly. According to Game Debate, gamers will need a bare minimum Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz CPU to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Additionally, an Nvidia GeForce GTX G60 2BG or a Radeon R9 380 AMD Graphics card, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 64-bit version, 50 GB of hard drive space and Direct X 11 will also needed to run it.

Game Debate reckons that players will be able to load the title, without problems, on laptops as well as desktop computers. This is likely to be true, but most laptops will need to have the best specifications around if they are to run Shadow of the Tomb Raider at its optimum level.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider System Requirements: Xbox One and PS4

Thankfully, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners won’t have the same issues that PC gamers might have. Shadow of the Tomb Raider‘s system requirements for these two consoles will already be preset to allow it to run smoothly. For those who own an Xbox One X or PlayStation 4 Pro, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will run at 60fps or in 4K, but not both at the same time. Square Enix confirmed, via Windows Central, that players would be able to enjoy Shadow of the Tomb Raider either in 30fps and 4K, or 60fps and 1080p on Xbox One X. Expect the same to apply on Sony’s console too.
