Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the world’s most anticipated games, and we just got our first look at Cyberpunk 2077 proper in a 48-minute gameplay demo. Naturally the gaming world is still buzzing about it, but what kind of system specs did the PC build running that demo have? For that matter, what are the Cyberpunk 2077 PC requirements in general? We’ll do our best to answer, but remember that the game is still a long way off and anything can change.
Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Demo PC System Specs
The PC running the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo was undoubtedly a monster, to get that much detail out of the game. Remember, it’s not only one of the most advanced games of this generation (or the next one) running at its best, the game’s not even optimized yet so will need very decent PC system specs. On the game’s Discord channel, Junior Community Specialist Alicja Kozera kindly provided those specs:
CPU: Intel i7-8700K @ 3.70 GHz
MB: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-I GAMING
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V, 2x16GB, 3000MHz, CL15
GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
SSD: Samsung 960 Pro 512 GB M.2 PCIe
PSU: Corsair SF600 600W
That’s definitely a monster PC, especially with the Solid-State Drive, but this will definitely not be the PC you need to play it when the game comes out.
What Are the Cyberpunk 2077 PC Requirements?
At the moment there are no official Cyberpunk 2077 PC system requirements, for the very obvious reason that the game is probably nowhere near finished despite the story being in a playable state. However, do not expect to need a PC as powerful as the demo build, because not only was the gameplay demo unoptimized, it’s the game running at maximum settings. CD Projekt RED will need to account for lower-end PCs too, not to mention consoles.
Hopefully we’ll get a release window for Cyberpunk 2077 soon, as well as the correct PC requirements. Until then we’ll just have to make do with watching the gameplay demo over and over again until it comes out or until the heat death of the universe. Whichever comes first. Hopefully the former.
