Fortnite Place Traps Challenge: Best Place to Put Traps

We’re only a few days away from the Fortnite Season 5 Week 8 challenges. Going live on August 31, the latest batch of challenges for all us Fortnite fans will offer up something a little different. For the unaware, every week, a new list of challenges goes live on Fortnite. These challenges are split into the free variety and those for the players who pay for a Battle Pass. Completing these weekly challenges awards us with Battle Stars and XP to level up our character and Battle Pass. Completing every Week 8 challenge will net you with a staggering 8,000 XP and a new loading screen that comes with a clue as to the whereabouts of a free secret tier. One of the easier challenges to finish is this: Fortnite Place Ten Traps. How do we place Fortnite traps? Where are the best places to place ten Fortnite traps? All is revealed below.

Fortnite Place Ten Traps Challenge: How to Place Traps

Creating traps in Fortnite is easy enough. You’ll find traps throughout the game, and to access them all you need to do is head onto the Building Menu. Once there, simply scroll through your available traps. Different traps, however, can only be placed on the correct surfaces. You’ll have wall traps, ceiling traps and the like. Just choose the right trap for the right surface,  hold X/square to bring up the trap inventory, press the right trigger/R2 (or the left mouse button) to place them down. It’s really rather simple.

Finishing the ten traps challenge isn’t tricky. All you need to do is place ten traps onto the map. That’s it. You don’t even have to kill anyone with your traps. Just find, and build. As it’s such an easy challenge to finish, you’ll only be awarded five Battle Stars upon completion, but hey ho, every little helps. Easy as the challenge sounds, we’re here to make your (Fortnite) life even easier.

The easiest (see: best) places to place traps are as follows:

  • Indoors
  • Attached to ceilings
  • Building around enemies
  • Little huts

Seriously, finishing this challenge should be very easy.
