Fortnite Season 5 End Date

Fortnite Season 5 End Date: When Does Season 5 Finish?

It looks like the Fortnite Season 5 end date has finally been unearthed, with dataminers digging deep into the game files to find traces of any curious looking text. For dataminers, parsing through a load of code is what they do best, finding file names and other hints towards upcoming weapons, equipment, modes, and more. This time, we’ve got the “seasonEnd” date of October 2 appearing in the game files. What’s curious, is that this date seems to have taken the place of a previous, earlier September 25 finish date.

As mentioned above, the trusted dataminers over at @FNBRLeaks have searched through the latest game files to see what they can find. A Fortnite Season 5 end date was one of things discovered, detailing an October 2 finish. Below the code revealing this is a “seasonDisplayedEnd” line, which says September 25. It looks like the original end date was going to be at the end of September, but has instead been delayed until the following week in October.

It’s not clear why this release date has been potentially pushed back, but it could be down to end-of-season events that aren’t quite ready yet. We’ve seen some very explosive conclusions to previous seasons, and I’m sure Epic Games doesn’t want to disappoint with Season 5’s finale. There are many theories going around about what is going to happen, and the hype train has well and truly left the station.

It’s unclear if a delayed Fortnite Season 5 end date will affect the launch of Season 6, and we’ll likely have to wait for official confirmation. It’s possible that we’ll learn more in the upcoming Fortnite 3.30 update, which dataminers will no doubt be eager to search through. Stay tuned for that patch, scheduled to drop on August 23! It’s gonna be a big one!
