Saints Row The Third Switch Release Date

Gamescom 2018: Saints Row The Third Switch Release Date Announced

The Saints Row the Third Switch release date was announced recently by Deep Silver. This was revealed at Gamescom 2018, which is Europe’s largest gaming convention of the year. The port is coming seven years after the original release of the game on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Linux platforms.

Let’s see when the bombastic game will be coming to the Switch.

Saints Row: The Third Switch Release Date Explained

At Gamescom 2018, Deep Silver announced Saints Row the Third will be coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019. However, there is no specific date beyond that. The only other detail available for the release on Nintendo’s portable home console is that it will be developed by Deep Silver Fishlabs. The developers were acquired by Koch Media, the parent company of Deep Silver, back in 2013. They have previously developed the Galaxy on Fire series of games.

The Saints Row the Third Switch release should be exciting for fans of the series since it is the first time any games from the franchise has ever been on a Nintendo console. The portability of the Nintendo Switch should fit perfectly with the arcade stylings of the over-the-top crime game.

However, we do not know if the Switch version will have any added features or improved graphics. There is also no other news regarding other entries into the franchise coming to the Nintendo Switch. This will also be only the second time Deep Silver has worked on a Nintendo Switch game.

With the announcement of the Saints Row the Third Switch release date, Deep Silver also said that details for the port will be coming at some point in the future. This could suggest a bigger E3 reveal, or potentially one that comes earlier than that.
