LoL Nexus Blitz Guide: Dealing With In-Game Events

League of LegendsĀ has just launched a new game mode for all players to try ā€” Nexus Blitz. Itā€™s a 180 from the usual Summoners Rift map, and itā€™s packed with a variety of events and old items that youā€™re going to have to strategize around if you want to get a win. If youā€™ve been looking for a LoL Nexus Blitz Guide then weā€™ve got you covered. Here are the in-game events that youā€™ll find in Nexus Blitz and how to deal with them.

LoL Nexus Blitz Guide: What are the Events?

LoL Nexus Blitz Champion

Nexus Blitz is home to a smaller, more condensed map than Summoners Rift. The smaller space and faster gold generation means that games finish quicker, and players become deadlier much faster. Before you get too cocky, though, this game mode is full of events that spawn at set times to cut you down to size, and theyā€™re all riffs on popular games that almost everyone will recognize.

Loot Teemo

If youā€™ve ever playedĀ Diablo III then youā€™ll be intimately familiar with the idea of loot goblins. These are tiny little goblins that run around the map, alternately cackling and dropping treasure wherever they go. True to the comparison, Loot Teemo will produce gold when hit, and the person that sends him back to the shadow realm will win a team-wide buff.

Snowball Fight

If you canā€™t get enough of the Howling Abyss, then youā€™ll enjoy the wintery goodness of this particular event. Each player has their summoner spells replaced by snowballs, and the aim of the game becomes to pelt the enemies with your balls until a meter fills up at the top of the screen. The first team to fill their meter gets a buff.

Bardle Royale

This one doesnā€™t bear too much explaining thanks to good olā€™Ā Fortnite, but the premise is simple. A ring of fire closes in around players, making the map smaller and tighter. As with all classic Battle Royale games, all you have to do is make sure that you stay alive. Beware; with everyone souped up on strong items, thatā€™s easier said than done.

Sudden Death

This is pretty self-explanatory, but it functions a bit like an overtime mode. Games in the Nexus Blitz mode donā€™t often last longer than 15 minutes. Once you pass that time, though, the game will force you to wrap things up by getting the Nexus of each time to group in the center of the map. From there, itā€™s a firefight to kill the other teamā€™s Nexus or face a loss.

King of the HillĀ

Your teamā€™s job is to make sure that they take control of whichever sector of the map is chosen by the game. You could either skirmish with the other team and send a stealthy character up there to capture the point, or you could take a 5v5 and claim your hill once all opponents are dead. Either strategy works!

Push the Cart

Another classic game mode in multiplayer, the clue really lies in the name. You have to push a cart carrying lethal explosives into enemy territory. Do so successfully, and youā€™ll be rewarded with the destruction of your enemies defenses. Much like how payload usually functions, enemy players jumping onto your load will halt its progress so youā€™ve got to make sure theyā€™re too dead to get in your way.

Now that weā€™ve broken down the in-game events for you, itā€™s time to get out there on the Rift and to crack some skulls! Bring a mate or four with you for optimum match-making times. The game mode is still in alpha, which means that itā€™ll be constantly changing, and we canā€™t wait to see where it goes next.
