Fortnite Heavy Sniper

Fortnite Heavy Sniper: What is the Heavy Sniper in Fortnite?

We’re now several weeks into Fortnite Season 5 and we’ve had plenty of new challenges, cosmetic items, and areas of the map to enjoy. Now, however, it seems as though the Fortnite Update 5.2 has been leaked. The leak suggests we’ll be seeing plenty of new weapons, skins, and other cosmetic items hitting Fortnite soon. One such incoming weapon appears to be the Fortnite Heavy Sniper. The sniper has had its fun in Fortnite Season 5, with the pigeon skeet challenge, and it seems as though we’re due a new, more powerful one this week.

Fortnite Heavy Sniper: What is the Heavy Sniper in Fortnite?

Fortnite Heavy Sniper

With a sniper rifle already available in Fortnite, is there any need for a new one? The simple answer is yes. You can never have too many guns in a shooting game. The XDA leak of Fortnite 5.2 update suggests that the Heavy Sniper will be exactly that: heavy. To differentiate it from the standard Fortnite Sniper Rifle. The Heavy Sniper will most likely come loaded with a more powerful shot. The leak suggests that its first shot will pierce walls. Alongside the more powerful shot, however, will be a slower reload time. Balance is important.

The Heavy Sniper wasn’t the only gun to be “announced” in this Fortnite leak. A Rail Sniper and Break-Barrel Shotgun were also listed. It’ll be interesting to see whether any of these three new guns make their way into the game, however. Epic Games has been known to add new items into the game’s code without ever releasing them. Who knows if we’ll actually see the Fortnite Heavy Sniper, Rail Sniper, or Break-Barrel Shotgun?

One of the latest new Fortnite guns was the Submachine Gun, which was added in an update last month. Epic Games often add, remove, and change the guns in Fortnite and we’re always on hand to let you in on all the details here at Game Revolution.
