No Man’s Sky VR Explained: Does No Man’s Sky NEXT Have VR?

Does No Man’s Sky have VR? That’s a question that a lot of players are wondering right now, especially with the recent release of the NEXT update that changed everything we know about the game. The NEXT update was huge, almost turning the game into a brand new title entirely with real multiplayer, graphics upgrades, and so much more.

So, it’s no surprise then that many fans are wondering if the update also finally brought with it No Man’s Sky VR support for at least the PC version and maybe even the PS4 version, too. We are going to dive deep into whether or not the game has VR and how to use it if it does.

Is There No Man’s Sky VR Support?

We’re going to go ahead and say it right now. We won’t waste your precious time any longer than necessary. Unfortunately, no, there is no No Man’s Sky VR support available currently. Even with all of the hints, teases, and such, Hello Games still hasn’t added virtual reality to the space-faring game despite being a seemingly perfect fit.

No Man’s Sky VR would work perfectly for the sci-fi game, especially given that it (used to) all take place within the first-person perspective and still can. Walking around, piloting, shooting; all of it can be done in first-person and would be a perfect fit for VR.

However, No Man’s Sky VR could still be on the table in the future. In one of the trailers for the game, the Chinese VR company W/ARE is shown as a contributor to the game in some way. This could certainly allude to VR support currently being in development as we speak. If so, it probably will still be sometime before an announcement is given and the VR support for PC and/or PS4 is added. Stay tuned for that!
