Fortnite Season 5 Victory Umbrella: What is the Beach Umbrella Reward?

You’re probably caught up in the excitement of Fortnite Season 5, but the main goal is still out there, waiting to be claimed: that elusive Victory Royale. As with every season, you get a Victory Royale reward in the shape of a victory umbrella. So, what has Epic got up their sleeves this time? Spoiler: It’s a Fortnite beach umbrella!

Fortnite Season 5 Victory Umbrella: What is the Victory Royale Reward?

If you were expecting something zany to go in line with the ridiculous viral content Epic has been spewing out pre-Fortnite Season 5, then I’m afraid you’re flat out of luck. The victory umbrella this time around is a pretty plain ol’ parasol in the form of a beach umbrella. Behold [via JusticeBoii on Reddit]:

Fortnite Season 5 Victory Umbrella

Not much to write home about, is it? Still, it’s nice to have a more summery feel when you’re floating through the air. It’ll be a little tough for unsuspecting opponents to see at a distance, however, and that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

Fortnite Season 5 Victory Umbrella: How Do I Get It?

You’ll never guess. You have to *gasp* win either a Solo, Duos or Squad game of Fortnite during Season 5. Once you’ve done that, it’ll pop up among your items for you to lovingly coo over and show off to your friends.  Do note, however, that you’ll only obtain the umbrella in the game mode that you have a Victory Royale in. So, if you’ve won a Solo game but nothing else, it’ll only show up in Solo, not Duos or Squads.

Fortnite Season 5 Victory Umbrella: How Do I Use It?

First, you have to equip it. It should already be equipped after winning your first game of the season but, if you’ve switched it out in your locker for another glider then you’ll have to manually select it. Once that’s been done, all you have to do is jump out of the Battle Bus as normal and your umbrella will kick in before you reach the ground.
