Fortnite Season 5 Map: What’s in the New Fortnite Map?

Fortnite Season 5 is finally here. Alongside plenty of new cosmetic items, gameplay changes, and a new Battle Pass, the map has received a significant overhaul. Two brand new locations have been added into the Fortnite Season 5 map. Lazy Links and Paradise Palms (a spot of golf, anyone?), no less. What’s new about them, however, and what has changed across the rest of Fortnite’s new map? The new Fortnite map can be seen below:

Lazy Links is very much golf-oriented. It carries a golf course design and sits where Anarchy Acres once was. West of Risky Reels, north-west of Tomato Town and to the north-east of Loot Lake. The look and layout is completely different from what it was before.

Paradise Palms brings with it a brand new desert theme that hasn’t been seen in Fortnite before. The replacement for Moisty Mire can be found in the south-east of the map – it’s huge. Why not take a new golf cart around the two new resort locations, or the brand new race track?

More detail about the new Fortnite Season 5 map can be found in our handy guide, here. What else is new about the new Fortnite map? For starters, crazy rifts have broken out across Fortnite’s world. Go into one of these and you’ll be shot up into the air, finding yourself in a completely different location. It’s fun.

Fortnite Season 5 changes quite a lot in the game. Not only are there new locations (with perhaps more to come), but there are whole new challenges to go along with an all-new Battle Pass. This isn’t everything. Switch players can now play Fortnite with motion controls. Season 5 is shaking up a good amount of what we know about Fortnite.
