Fortnite 4.5 Patch Notes

Fortnite 4.5 Patch Notes Content Update: Drum Gun, Lynx Assault Rifle and More

The Fortnite 4.5 patch notesContent Update Edition” features a trio of weapons entering the game. Both Battle Royale and Save the World players are receiving some love, and will have new guns to wield and master. The Fortnite 4.5 Content Update was dropped without any warning; a different approach to how patches are usually first announced and then released. Regardless, it’s a nice surprise and should help freshen up both parts of the game. Here’s a closer look at what exactly the Fortnite 4.5 Content Update implemented.

Fortnite 4.5 Patch Notes Content Update Highlights

The biggest Fortnite 4.5 Content Update highlight for Battle Royale players is the new “drum gun.” This weapon packs a 50-round magazine, meaning it’s great for spraying and praying. It also apparently “combines the stopping power of a rifle with the suppressive ability and fire rate of an SMG.” The drum gun can be found in Uncommon and Rare variants, dealing 26 and 27 damage, respectively. You’ll be needing medium ammo to power the drum gun, with the weapon itself being found in floor loot, chests, and vending machines.

Fortnite 4.5 Patch Notes

Save the World players needn’t feel left out, for there are two new weapons being added to the PvE mode. The Freedom’s Herald pistol and the Lynx assault rifle have both been added to the Weekly Store. These will be made available for purchase on July 4. Also newly available to the Save the World component is the stink bomb, with the awful stench making its way across from Battle Royale.

To go along with the new Save the World weapons, two Heroes have been added. The Stars and Stripes Constructor and Stars and Stripes Outlander will both be available in the store on July 4.

In addition to the new Fortnite 4.5 Content Update, the Playground limited time mode has now officially returned to Battle Royale, giving players a chance to host their own private mode adventures.
