<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Before Playing Lost Odyssey [B4LO] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
------------------ --------------
********************************************************************
----------
Treasure
----------
This game is full of treasure, much like any other RPG. As you can see in the
achievements, you have to collect every piece of treasure in the game for a
measly 20 Gamer Points. This means kicking every object, doing every side
quest, and opening every chest. I’ll lead you to the better half of the
commonly missed treasures, but make sure you gather the others as well. If
you are using this guide in conjunction with the PRIMA guide, you should
have no problem getting the Treasure Trove achievement. Some treasures
not listed in the guide are:
Tablet Fragment in Crimson Forest:
-You need three of these tablets, two fo which are in the Eastern Ruins. The
third tablet is in Crimson Forest. When you make your way down the first
elevator in Crimson Forest, there will be a big boulder in the room to your
right. Push that boulder onto the platform you rode down to reveal the tablet.
Mana item in Limestone Cave:
-After defeating the boss in the Buring cave, return with the Nautilus. Right
before the save ball, jump across the rocks to grab the item.
--------
Seeds
--------
Seeds are a pretty big part of this game, especially toward the Treasure Trove
achievement. Not only do they count as treasure, but gaining them all will get
you a Treasure, which you need for the achievement. There are 99 Seeds in the
game, and this Walkthrough will help you find them all. I’ll list how many
seeds are in each area before we begin as well. To claim your prizes, give
the seeds you've aquired so far to what looks like a rabbit inside a pot, a
pipot!
--------------------------------------
Experience Points/Leveling Up
--------------------------------------
Experience points in this game is different from many other RPG’s. Each area of
the game has a level cap. This means that each area has a level that it wants
you to be. If you are under this level, you will gain a level every battle, or
every other battle until you reach that level cap. After getting to that level,
the experience points you receive from defeating enemies is greatly reduced,
usually to one or two points per battle. You will always require 100 experience
points to advance to the next level. This type of leveling reduces players
“grinding,” or staying in one level and leveling very high. The game is more
challenging this way.
----------------
Ring System
----------------
During battle while performing regular physical attacks, you will utilize what
is known as the Ring System in Lost Odyssey. As you run towards your enemy, One
large ring will close in on two other rings. Your goal is to release the
trigger on the second ring. This makes your attack more powerful, however
getting a Bad, or completely missing the ring, will not lower your attack.
Also, it should be known that the Trigger is pressure sensitive. This helps new
players adjust to getting Perfects. Releasing the trigger very slowly will
result in the Ring closing in much slower.
There are many, many different rings in LO, all with different combinations
of effects. Pick the right ring for the right enemy/situation to make the
best out of your party.
---------------
Accessories
---------------
Unlike many other RPG’s, you do not equip clothing to your characters. The
only weapon/clothing you equip to them are Swords. You also equip rings, which
each have different effects, depending on the type of ring. Also, Accessories
can be found throughout the world in Lost Odyssey. These accessories teach
immortals new Skills, and let mortals gain those Skills while wearing the
Accessory. Make sure to utilize all accessorie syou find throughout the
world.
--------
Skills
--------
Skills are what makes your characters powerful in Lost Odyssey. While mortals
gain skills, such as Spells and physical combos, due to leveling up like in
classic RPG’s, immortals do not learn skills this way. Immortals must “Skill
Link” with a mortal to gain a skill he/she has. To gain this skill forever,
he/she must battle until enough SP is gained to keep the skill. Required SP
ranges from 5 to 100, depending on the skill. Skills can also be learned from
accessories in the same way.
----------
Elements
----------
In Lost Odyssey, many enemies have elemental properties. These properties will
determine how to defeat them, as well as what to expect from them. Enemies
can either be Earth, Fire, Water, or Wind element. As in most games, there is
a magic triangle (rather a rectangle in this game) deciding which elements
are weak/strong to others. It goes like this:
Fire>>>Wind
/ v
/ v
/ v
Water<<<Earth
If that's in any way hard to understand:
Fire beats Wind
Wind beats Earth
Earth beats Water
Water beats Fire
Remember that enemies can only have these element types. Don't try to defeat an
ice-looking enemy with fire, as they are water types!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Frequently Asked Questions [FAQS] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
---------------------- --------------
***********************************************************************
1.Can I miss anything permanently in this game?
-There are three things you can miss in this game, two being extremely
important. These are the spells Shieldus and Barricadus. They can only be
bought in Middle Town’s store or in Experimental Staff. They do not
ever appear in the Auction House. You must get these two spells to get the
Spells achievement. The third thing you can miss is the trip to Khent. You do
not need to go there, but it is interesting. As soon as Khent appears on the
map, travel there, or you might miss it forever.
2. Where are all the shops in this game?? I'm on disc 2 and haven't
found any..
-There definitely are shops, at least one in every town. Take it easy and
explore a bit, you'll find them :)
3. Will I Ever get to Backtrack to all the towns?
-Yes you will. During the 4th Disc you'll have the ability to visit and explore
just about everyone on the World Map. The only location you will not be able to
enter is Khent, which is closed off during the entire game (You can however
visit its gates).
4. How do I access the rest of the Backyard challenges?
-You must obtain Magical Lock Keys, one for each class. They are located in
Gongora's secret Lab, The Eastern Ruins, and the Temple of Enlightenment.
5. I can't find this item! Where Where Where?
-Check out previous topics and posts first. Most likely your question has been
asked and answered already. If you cannot use the search function, or simply
cannot find a topic that helps you, then check the Stickies. They are packed
with useful information.
6. Why did this game receive such average/below average scores?
-Well, first off, most of the reviews were based on a copy of the game that was
not complete. Now this is not the reviewer's fault, as they were told that this
was the retail version. The load times discussed in the reviews were
significantly fixed, and many of the technical issues as well.
7. Im Level __, where can I get some easy levels?
-If you are under level 50, go to the Numara Atoll. Pick a fight with Hell
Shakers, as they give you one level every battle until around Level 50. Use
ground attacks. If this does not work for you, try Gongora’s secret Lab under
his Mansion.
-If you are above level 50, the best place to train is the Temple of
Enlightenment. After around Level 70, try to find Helish Keleons, they will
grant you one level every battle.
8. I want to gain SP FAST! Anywhere I can do this?
The more enemies you face, the more SP you'll gain. The Silver Keleons
(commonly found in the Numara Atoll), will net you some good SP every battle.
Make sure you're using the Double SP skill, learned by Sed.This will net you
16 SP for defeating one Kelolon, and 32 SP for killing two.
9. How do I kill those Silver Keleons before they flee?
-Easiest way to do so is have Everyone use Casting Support on your magic users,
and have them use either Gamble (Spirit magic found in Tosca Village for
completing the Keleon mini-game), or Ground-type spells.
10.Those dang monkeys stole my items! Can I ever get them back??
-Yup. Whether you are in the Eastern Ruins or the Ice Canyon, you can get the
items stolen back. You must find a special item of theirs and have them steal
it from you. Then go fight the king/queen, beat him/her, and get your stuff
back.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 6. Walkthrough >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
---------------------- ----------------------
**************************************************************
~*~*~*~*~*
Disc 1
~*~*~*~*~*
The game starts off with a huge battle between Gohtza and Uhra. Kaim, our
protagonist, will show up and perform some pretty awesome moves. Time for our
first battle! This first battle is really just to show you how future battles
will set up, and get you used to the battle menu. Keep attacking your enemies,
taking out one to three at a time, and you should have no problems. After
defeating eight or nine soldiers, a Heavy Tank will appear!
You’ll have to take out each side before taking on its body, so aim for either
its right or left unit and attack. Each unit has about 200 HP. To keep doing
damage to each side, you’re going to have to switch what side you attack on
every turn. The great thing about this battle is that it is impossible to lose!
Don’t use any healing items because if your HP is depleted, it will
automatically replenish. After another cut-scene, Kaim will look up
and….what….the…..RUNN! Ok seriously, you’ll learn all about what is going on
later in the game.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I. Highlands of Wohl [WOHL] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Now we are in control of Kaim, the main character in Lost Odyssey. To the right
is a yellow floating ball, which saves your progress. These can be found
throughout your quest, so familiarize yourself with it. Walk Kaim about 20
steps forward, and boom, another cut-scene and battle against a few Insane
Khent Soldiers. They should be easy to defeat, they did just get hit by a giant
ball of fire after all. After the battle, keep moving forward. The path is
pretty linear. As you pass the first pile of lava on your right, take a small
path east to one of the broken heavy tanks. Walk up to it and hit B to ram it.
You’ll get some Healing Medicine for your efforts. Note, objects can be rammed
to reveal hidden paths, or fork over items.
Get Kaim back on the main trail and keep moving north. You’ll have to ram
another broken Tank to move more north, and you’ll also get a Bruiser Ring for
this. Equip the Ring and move on. As you head down the path, you should she
something sparkling on the ground to your left. Walk over to it and push B to
pick up the Name Plate. Note, sparkling things on the ground are usually items
that can be picked up. Walk north more, and next to a giant red (burning) wheel
is a box. Run into the box to reveal another Healing Medicine. Straight ahead
is another box with a Mana Herb in it. Now walk north-east until you exit the
screen.
Another save ball, and another straight forward path. Run through the box
behind the save ball for a Healing Medicine, and walk a little further down
the path to trigger a cut-scene. Some Uhran soldiers will be fascinated that
Kaim is still alive. When you are in control of Kaim again, open both treasure
chests for an Angel’s Plume and 4 Whetstones. Note, treasure chests can be
opened >_> . Once you’re done chatting with the soldiers, board the armored
car. While in the car, walk forward towards the door to trigger another
cut-scene. You’ll meet Seth Balmore, another survivor of the meteor. Some
countryside scenery, and you’ll end up in the Magic Republic of Uhra
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< II. The Magic Republic of Uhra [UHRA] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
13 Seeds
Antidote Brooch
Engraved Ring
Holy Knight Charm
Berserker Necklace
Hawk Eye
Time for our first Seed! Walk back down the path and around to the watchtower.
Climb up the middle, and kick the trashcan to obtain the Seed. Climb down and
walk back toward the door, and kick the four trashcans. They house one Mana
Herb, a Magma Fragment, 10G, and a Whetstone. Now enter the door.
First thing, talk to the man on the right, the one with the bright yellow shirt
who has his back turned to us. One of his soldiers lost his helmet! Walk into
the middle of the elevator and take it up. Now take the elevator back down, and
ram the rails directly to the left of the man you just spoke with. Pick up the
helmet, and return it to the Station Staff guy. You’ll receive an Antidote
Brooch (gives anti-poison). Go back up the elevator, and follow the soldiers.
Before walking up the first set of stairs, examine the poster on the left, the
one that’s flapping. An antidote was behind it?? Ok well, note that flapping
posters can be examined for items. Walk up the steps and examine another poster
on the left for 100G. There’s another poster with 10G on the other side as
well. Better yet, there’s ANOTHER flapping poster to the left of the talking
soldiers. This one holds a Healing Medicine. In the last poster near the
soldiers, you’ll find your second seed. After you’re done, walk to the left to
get on the monorail.
Walk around inside, triggering cut-scenes and what-not, experiencing some
badass Kaim quotes along the way. Walk all the way up to trigger yet another
cut-scene. Ah, the intro to Lost Odyssey. Some cool scenes, and the title. Now
you get a history lesson in Magic and the Magic Revolution, and a scene in the
Council. Enter Gongora, the man with the dyed blond hair and enormous eyebrows.
When you are in control of Kaim again, pick up the sparkly off the ground next
to the benches to reveal an Engraved Ring. Walk toward the elevator near the
two guards and kick the trashcan for a Cold Water Stone. Ride the elevator down
and save if you wish at the save ball. Walk to the left of this room and kick
the trash can for a Healing Medicine, and walk through the gate on the right.
Now we’re in the Square, and its time for a third seed. Walk over toward the
fountain, and kick the object next to the bench. Now go down the far stairs and
walk across the square to find another kickable object. After getting the 2
Whetstones, walk east, and kick the object for an Angel’s Plume. Keep walking
east, and when you pass the man and cart to your left, examine the poster on
the wall for your fourth seed! Walk east up the stairs and examine another
poster behind the man. You’ll get a Wind Seal Leaf for it. Continue east.
Cut-scene time with the council. Gongora explains that he put Kaim under an
immortal spell. Kaim doesn’t know anything apparently, and is told to go on a
mission. Well, I guess you know this, as you’re watching the scene :/
When you gain control of Kaim again, either save at the ball or continue. Walk
through the western door, and head north until you get to another opening. On
the left is a poster witch houses our 5th seed. Walk through the opening and
examine the posters on the left and right. Healing Medicine and Antidote. Keep
walking, and enter the small alley on the left. Examine the poster for 10G, and
Probe the pot for 2 Whetstones. Note, pots can be probed.. Walk back out and
enter the Tavern on your left. Walk right to probe a pot and get 100G, then go
up stairs and probe two more pots. Our sixth seed and an Aqua Bomb. Exit the
Tavern and continue north east. On your left you should see a screen. Under
that screen is a kickable object, which houses a seed. Make sure and get this
seed, because I had 98 seeds, and spent hours looking for my last one, and it
was this one…It really blends in! Enter the inn on the right (the Blue Dot on
your map) for a cut-scene.
Probe the pots under and on the stairs for an Antidote and another seed. Walk
upstairs and gather the loot from all the rooms. You should get 100G, an
Angel’s Plume, and the Holy Knight Charm accessory.
Walk back down you thief and talk to the innkeeper. Another cut-scene. You’ll
recall a dream, read it or save it for later. Leave the inn and go through the
opening to the north. There’s a poster right above the stairs with 100G, and
another poster to the left of the upcoming stairs with our 9th seed. First
examine the poster on the left wall to get a Magma fragment, then kick the
trashcan on the playground for 3 Whetstones. Now you’ll be required to do a
small mini-game of Soccer, much like blitz ball. Nah, not really, but kick the
ball around. Go down the next set of stairs and probe three golden pots. You
should get a Wind Bomb, out 10th seed, and a Cold Water Stone. There’s also two
kickable objects, so kick those (you practices with the ball correct?) to
obtain another Seed and ..another Seed. That makes 12 so far. Walk west to get
to Gongora’s Mansion. There’s a save ball on the right. Try to enter the house,
and the guards will stop them. So go back the way you came, all the way back to
the streets of Uhra.
Walk south, and a cut-scene. Oh now Gongora wants to see us? Well, I never!
Head back to Gongora’s Mansion. Walk on in, and cut-scene with Golden Boy. Take
the left path first, and go through the first door on your right. Kick the can
for 2 Quality Iron Sands, and kick the can on the other side for a seed. Head
through the door to the north. Open all the chests for a Flare Bomb, Berserker
Necklace, and Hawk Eye accessory. There's also a crate to the north of this
little room. Push it and grab the semi-hidden chest. Go back into the lab, and
enter the elevator on the west side. Cut-scene first though. Leave the mansion,
never to return…until the fourth disc :/
Walk back through the Square, over to the monorail guy near the fountain. Ride
it to the Great Gate. Great cut-scene now. Make sure you’re watching this. Are
you watching?? Stop reading!
Ok now that you’re done laughing, head south. Barkus the shopkeeper will arrive
and offer to sell you some junk. Stock up on healing items and head out. Choose
Ipsilon Mountains - North for our next adventure.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< III. Ipsilon Mountains [IPMN] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
6 Seeds
2 Slot Seeds
Ground
Knight’s Code
Barricade
Search Glasses
Shield
Novice Earrings
Aqua
Save at the ball after the cut-scene. Walk north and ram the tree on the right
for a Seed. Keep walking and take the small path to your right for two pots
that hold the spell Ground and a Mana Herb. Keep walking and ram another tree
on the right for your 15th seed. Probe the pots for a Flare Bomb and Slot Seed.
Walk a little north and head left again for a small cave. Probe the pot for 2
Antidote, and open the chest for the Knight’s Code accessory. Walk north again,
and once again, take the small path to the right. Ram the trees for a Magma
fragment and the other tree for 2 Wind Seal Leaves. Back on track, head north!
In the next area, ram the tree on your left for 2 Magma Fragments, and then
walk right. Probe the pots for the spell Barricade and a Flare Bomb, and ram
the tree for a seed. There’s also another seed to the left, next to the dead
trunk. Now walk north toward the hut. Probe the pot for a seed, and examine the
desk for some Search Glasses. There’s also an Antidote in the pot to your left,
and a Power Drink in the pot to your south west. Examine the desk up stairs to
locate the spell Shield, then talk to Jansen and rest.
Time to depart! Leave the hut through the door Seth is blocking, and hike on
up. Walking in the rain now, follow the path. Kaim will recall a memory, either
read it or save it for later. Continue up until the rain stops. Time for a Boss

Boss Name: Grilgan
HP: 1500
Weakness: Fire
Item Dropped: Slot Seed
He’s weak to fire! Have Jansen cast Flare every round, and have Kaim attack
with the Bruiser Ring equipped every round. As for Seth, have her attack as
well, but make her use healing items on everyone when needed. If you
pre-ordered this game, you should have gotten Weapon Guard 2. You might want to
have that equipped to Kaim, Seth or Jansen. Grilgan will either attack one
party member or all at once. Just make sure you are healing your party, and
casting flare, and you should be good to go.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
After the battle, save at the ball and continue West. Follow the path and jump
down the rocks to the east. Run up the small path that heads east past the
bridge for a chest that contains Novice Earrings. Then head back down and
follow the path to the Cart Track. Grab the cart and push it so you can move
on, and push the other cart off the tracks for a Cold Water Stone. Continue
down the path and ram the cart off the tracks for another Seed. Walk west for
the next area.
Your goal here is the get to the bottom. Descend the ladder, and ram the boxes
to your left to find a hidden path to a chest. After getting the Slot Seed,
walk back around and down the next ladder. Head left, down another ladder, then
right. Walk past the ladder heading down and go all the way to the right. There
is a sideways ladder that you can barely see. Climb up it, jump over the ledge
and open the chest for the spell Aqua. Jump back across, down the ladder, and
descend down the ladder heading down. Now walk all the way left and push the
cart. Jump over, and walk to the next area.

After a cut-scene, it’s time to get our 20th seed. Walk up the ramp and to the
left. Talk to the guard blocking the way, then run around the corner. Next, go
back to where he was blocking and pull the box all the way out. Now go talk
to the other guard, run around the corner, and go into where he was blocking.
Before you go into it actually, examine the poster for 100G Push the box,
examine the poster for a Mana Herb and go down the ladder. There are some
Turn-Tail Shoes in the pot on your left, and a seed in the other. Talk to the
guy on the left and he’ll sell you weapons and other stuff. Make sure to buy
aqua! Go through the door, push the boxes out of the way, and probe the pot
for 3 Hard Skins, and another for the spell Poison. Now exit the place and
walk back up the ramp, but this time to the right. Examine the pot and give
the Pipot your 20 seeds. He’ll give you the Adamantis Sword and Ring. Now
Save and exit to the south.

All-Barricade
Open the chest on the left for Treasure Glasses, then head across the bridge.
Here you’ll come across clams and small towers that can be examined for items.
When examining the towers, make sure to the yellow magic is on another tower,
or you will be forced into a battle. Healing Medicine, the spell All-Shield, 3
Insect Innards, 4 Sticky Tapes are in this first area. Ram through the metal
and walk into the next.
A Seed, Yellow Band accessory, and a Mana Herb can be found here. Be sure to
get the Yellow Band, and have Kaim and Seth learn the ability (Anti-Paralyze).
This will greatly help you with the next boss. The next area is filled with
items, so make sure to stock up. After you’re done, walk through the next area,
and open the chest for 4 Pumice of Despairs. Walk up the stairs, and when
you’ve gone up a few, you should be able to walk to the right for a chest that
contains All-Barricade. Walk up more stairs, save, and get ready for a boss
battle.

Boss Battle : Bogimoray + 5x Magic Insects
HP: Around 1750
First thing you need to know....you need to battle this same boss twice in a
row. Secondly, the boss can't do anything except absorbing magic from the
little insects, and once its magic bar is full...the giant worm will cast a
pretty powerful magic : Para-Flare (about 200 damage to the entire party) and
will paralyze the entire party (this is where Yellow Band comes in hand, so be
sure to master the Anti Paralyze skills).
To defeat this boss, you need to kill at least 2 of the underlings, and leave
the rest alone as they all will keep coming back anyway. After you killed 2 of
the insects, focus all of your attacks on the boss !! Jansen's Aqua/Flare magic
works well in this battle. If the boss attacks you with Para-Flare, be sure to
heal the party after.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
After you defeat the boss, you'll have to fight it again for the 2nd round.
It's basically the same boss, except this time the boss comes with a full
gauge, so be sure to heal after its Para-Flare attacks. The rest is the same as
the first one, keep attacking with Jansen's Flare/Aqua magic, and heal when
needed.
Like i mentioned before, you don’t need to kill all the insects, just kill
about 2 or 3 and move along to the main boss.
--Additional strategies--
-All out on the boss. Take the boss down quickly by using Aqua based spells and
rings. He will only get 1 or 2 Para attacks in, so make sure you heal!
-Another way to defeat this boss is by taking out all the bugs first, this way
the big guy cant charge up. Then take out the big guy, and when bugs appear,
take them out as well.
After the battle, take a look around, examining each side of the place as well
as opening the chest for the Sage’s Protection accessory. Make sure to walk
through the blue orb thing near Seth, as it replenishes all HP and MP. Examine
the wall near Seth, and the pipe to the left of Jansen for a cut-scene. Well
I’ll be! It’s the whole dang Calvary! They aren’t really that hard. Focus on
one soldier at a time, because if you don’t, their Mage will heal them. You can
also steal a Circlet Accessory from the Mage if you wish, although it is not
mandatory, as he drops it anyway.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VII. White Boa [WBOA] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Light Lens
Paralyze
After the battle, you’ll be captured. When you can, switch to Jansen. Have him
walk around the cage and kick the rat’s nest. Now switch to Seth and do the
same. No switch to Kaim, and pick up the Light Lens accessory. You’ll be
lifted into the White Boa, and put into a cage.
When you’re in control of Kaim again, save at the ball and head through the
door. Now we get to play some Metal Gear Solid! You cannot be seen by any of
the security balls, so be careful. Follow the path, as it’s pretty
straightforward. Operate the lever thing to open a door revealing a treasure
chest. It holds the spell Paralyze. Now continue, and operate the next lever
when the security bot is inside the room. Now go through the room and walk up
(left on the map). Climb up the ladder past the door and operate the lever. Now
you can return to where you are if you get caught. Go back down the ladder and
through the door.
Operate the lever on the right up ahead, then go through the door for a Slot
Seed in a chest. Go the other way now and climb the ladder. Walk all the way to
the end of the platform and drop the ladder by operating the lever. Climb down
and activate the red button in the corner. Now climb up the other ladder,
operate the lever, and climb down the new ladder. Now push the red button in
front of the locked door, and voila! Down the elevator we go.
Cut-scene time. Woot our weapons =D Time to run, erm battle. Make your way
north, and save if you like. Ok, another XD Jansen moment and Seth tells a
small story. Now we’re controlling Jansen. Walk up (ROFL WTF is Jansen doing
when he runs??) and trigger a cut-scene with the queen. Run around and down the
stairs into the Engine Room. Run north for a cut-scene. After them, you’re in
control of Kaim again.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VIII. Numara [NMRA] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
17 seeds
Kelolon
Note: Before we start here, I have to let you in on this funny townsperson. So
you know how every person kind of grunts when you talk to them? Talk to the
girl that is speaking to a guy in front of the inn. Her grunt is either
hilarious or just plain sad. Anyway, there are a lot of seeds here. Run to the
left above where the stairs end, and examine the vines for one. There’s one on
the other side in the same place. Now run south to enter the city, but first, a
cut-scene! There’s an inn on your right, which houses some seeds and items, so
let’s check it out first. Two seeds are in the plants on each side of the
counter, and one upstairs in the left room. Exit the inn after raiding it, and
pick another seed off the right wall where you entered. There’s also a seed
behind the cat girl (O_o). She’s a side-quest, but I’ll explain those later.
For now, feel free to explore the city. There’s shops, and lots of interesting
people to talk to. There’s 6 more seeds, all of them outside near the shops,
and one near the southern gondola. There’s also 4 more seeds inside of the
boutique and on Canal Street. When you are done exploring, head all the left
and all the north of Numara to get to the port!
Head to the left at the fork and enter the Ghost Town of Numara. Head
north-east, and open the chest for 5 Sandman’s Seals. Keep walking to run into
a Rugrat and her brother. Cut-scene, and some soldiers are being mean, so it’s
time to destroy them! Cast All-Shield with Jansen, and attack each foot soldier
one at a time. After they are defeated, work on the Calvary. Have Jansen use
Prism or elemental spells, and of course have Seth and Kaim attack. You should
be able to beat them easily at around level 18 or so.
After the battle, it’s time for some cut-scenes. Cooke and Mack will tell you
to stop by their house. Walk north until you see a blue house. In back of their
house, in a pot, is another seed.
Now talk to the pipot, although you probably don’t have enough seeds for the
next item, so just enter the home. Walk to the back to meet their mother, who
appears to be just some random lady….wait WTF Lirum? ARE YOU CRYING YET? You
should be, or you’re just insensitive! So you learn that Cooke and Mack are
your grandchildren, and instead of dropping them off at some daycare, you have
to bring them along for the journey.
We are now in control of Tolten, aka Golden Boy. Walk around in three large
circles around the circular platform you can see on your map. Did the secret
chest appear? No? Oh well, too late. Let’s move on shall we? Walk north to
trigger a cut-scene, and then a battle. These things are pretty easy to defeat.
Just attack normally one by one and you’ll be fine. After hearing Tolten yell
“It’s over” four times, we’ll have a pretty intriguing cut-scene, and have to
battle the Council Leader. Hit inquire a few times, and you’ll be able to
attack. Use some power hits and take down the chairman! Gongora will show up
and explain everything.
Back in control of the others, it’s time for a fetch quest! Have Cooke run all
the way north-east for the first flower and a Slot Seed. On your way back you
should come across a few more flowers. That makes four out of ten. Run south,
then north east for a flower near the pot. Run south a bit and into a small
inlet for the sixth flower. Run a little bit south again and west next to the
well. Flowers 7, 8, and 9 are in here. You’ll have to walk under the small
archway for one. Walk back out to the main road and head all the way south
east, and then west for the last flower. Now back to the pimp…er funeral guy!
It’s Kaim’s turn now, and he has to gather branches. Go to where Cooke got her
first flower. That’s one, and there’s two more on your way back. Another is
near the pot that held the seed. The fifth is right outside the path to the
home. Now walk south. The sixth pile is near that same pot again. Walk south
once again, and in that small inlet for the seventh. There’s a pile near the
well, and the last two to the left in the grass. Back to the house!
This next part is arguably the hardest part of the ENTIRE game. Ok seriously,
it’s not. It’s really simple, especially if you read the tutorial that comes
up. If they move the torch left, hold X for a few seconds until their torch
lights. If they go right, hit B, up Y, and down A. It’s that simple. Save
upstairs and open the chest for the spell Kelolon.
Exit the house, and head for the Crimson Forest. Walk back to the port of
Numara, and this time take the right path.

In most of these pink/purple mushrooms, there are Crystal Fragments. There’s an
artist back in Numara who will give you a Life Brooch (Increases Max HP) if you
give him 19 of them, so try to collect them all. Ok, so ultimately we are
trying to get to the north-west part of the forest. The map should help you get
there pretty easily. Right before you ram the log however, there’s a seed in a
kickable pile to the left a little bit before this point. Ram the log and
continue on. Run around and collect the fragments if you wish, and also a seed
in a small inlet, and then head north west and up the north path. Save and head
down the magical platform. To your right is a boulder that you can roll onto
the platform you just came down. This will lower the other platform and reveal
a Table Fragment! Now head west.
This part is a tiny bit tricky, but not really :P Run up the stairs and stand
on the platform to the left! Hurry there’s a boulder rolling down! Continue up
the stairs, and go down the far set to a chest that had the Lucky Clover
accessory in it. Now go to the second set of stairs. After the boulder rolls
down, push the pillar to one side, and activate the boulder again. This will
let the boulder roll all the way down and break the door! Before we go in
however, run past the two guard son the left for the Cubic Music Score 2. Do
the same on the right for a Slot Seed. Heal and Save, and walk in the door for
a boss battle!

Boss Battle : Obsidian Tentacles 4 x
HP : 300 each, one is 520
This spirit has taken Mack hostage basically, and is controlling him. First
take care of the tentacle thing holding Cooke so you get her back. Now take
care of the others. Physical attacks and elemental magic work fine. After
taking them out, it seems you are battling Mack, however, if you kill him it’s
Game Over. What to do? Have everyone defend except Jansen. Have him cast Sleep!
It should work, if it doesn’t try again next turn, as it’s the only way to beat
this boss. Once Mack is asleep, you can attack the big guy.
Boss Battle : Obsidian Miasma
HP : 930
Once again, physical attacks and elemental spells work great. Keep healing with
Cooke, and you should take out this punk pretty easily. Make sure to cast
Zephyr before you are half way dead, that is, basically cast Zephyr/Heal every
turn.

Walk down the steps and into the magic platform. You’ll be lifted back up to

all the platforms now work, letting you get lots more treasures! If you use one

Save, and return to Numara.

After entering Numara, you’ll trigger a cut-scene. Try to head to the Palace,
only to be stopped by some skirt-wearing kid. Another guy throws rocks at
you…Make sure you save at the palace and heal up. Now walk past the fountain,
and get ready for a fierce battle. We’ve got to battle four heavy guards, each
with around 400 HP. Have Seth and Kaim aim for the same guard, with Jansen
casting All-Shield and healing everyone. Keep this up and you’ll do great.
After defeating them, a funny cut-scene will occur. Now then, it’s time to
escape! Don’t worry, the enemies you can see chasing you will never run
directly into you. There are four seeds in here, all in pots and chests, but if
you wish to complete this place fast because of the music, you will be able to
grab the seeds from here later in the game. So first, make your way to the
right and up the elevator. Now walk north, and then west. Take the next
elevator. After exiting, walk west and south, and up the elevator. On the top
floor, run south and back through another door. Make sure to heal and save!
Head all the way south for some cut-scenes and a boss battle.

Cannon Unit
HP: about 1000
This battle can be difficult, but if you are prepared it should be a breeze.
First off, if you have and mechanical rings, equip them to Seth and Kaim.
Target one part of the tank at a time (I suggest going for Magic Heavy Tank
first) Have Jansen cast All-Shield, and Cooke cast All-Barricade. Mack can use
some Spirit Magic or just healing items. Have Seth and Kaim keep attacking, and
Jansen use some black magic. The Tank should come down pretty fast. After
beating the Magic Heavy Tank, go for the cannon using the same tactics. Mack
sure to keep healing and using All-Shield once in a while. Black magic and the
combined forces of Seth and Kaim should be enough to care of the Tank for good.

After the battle, there will be some cut-scenes. You’ll now have Ming in your

keep your team balanced, as later in the game you’ll have to use specific
characters for parts of the game/bosses. Head to the port and walk all the way
east and into the door for some cut-scenes. Walk north down the platform and
steal the boat!
Yet another XD Jansen moment here.
You are now controlling the Slantnose. Pretty easy to control. Cruise around,

Magic-Powered Locator Lv. 1
Seth’s Dream Part 1 is pretty cool, and is one of the only dreams to relate to
the actual story. So check it out or not, your choice.
Now then, there are four seeds here. First one is on the right side of the inn,
which is the big building on your left. Two more are inside the inn in the
upper rooms, and the last one is in one of the houses on the ride side of the
town (Deeno’s House to be exact). One thing that is common to miss in this town
is the Weapon shop. It’s in the room across from where you rest (and the save
ball). You can’t access that yet, so for now, go downstairs and to the right
side of the inn. After a small cut-scene, you’ll be back in the same room. Exit
it and enter the left room for the Weapon Shop. After buying some stuff, get
ready for a mini-game. Before we start, let me in of a few tips first:
This mini-game includes having you search the town for 16 Kelolon statues.
There will be people blocking some, so if you see this, do not stand around
waiting for them to leave. Go get some others first, and when you get back they
will have moved. Now talk to the girl next to the statue in the inn.
The locations for all 16 statues are:
3 up the ladder behind the inn
1 directly behind the inn (hidden from camera)
2 on the side of the inn
1 in the middle of the river (the big one)
1 on the watchtower in front of the inn
1 next to the bridge
1 behind the waterfall (jump across the rocks)
2 near the north-eastern exit
1 up the ladder near the north-eastern exit
1 in each of the two houses on the right of the bridge
1 in the inn, the one next to the girl
For this you get some items, but most importantly, the spell Gamble. The reason
this is so important is because you can now basically beat the game at its own
tricks. You can go to Numara Atoll and grind levels. Using the slant nose,
drive to Numara and pick Land, but instead of choosing Numara city, choose
Numara Atoll.
A few things you will need: Turn-Tail skill, Casting support skill, Gamble
spell. Run around here looking for battles. If you get into a battle with a
Hell shaker (looks like a lizard thing), use Turn-Tail and run. The monsters we
want are Silver Kelolons. They will grant you one level up until around level
45. The problem is that they flee, and they are fast. We can beat them by first
using Casting Support on your spell casters, and having them use Gamble on the
kelolons. We have to use Gamble because physical attacks and other spells are
harmless/don’t hit them. Gamble inflicts a random amount of damage, from 1 to
around 4000. You’ll only need about 1000 to beat them however.
This is also a great place to learn skills, as each Kelolon gives you 8 SP per
battle. This means that if you go against two in the same battle, you’ll earn
16 SP afterwards. And later in the game when you obtain the double SP skill,
these battles will net you 32 SP each!
Ok, after leveling up, or not depending on how you prefer to play, head back to
Tosca. Try to cross the bridge and you’ll obtain the Magic Locator Lv. 1. Now
exit to the north. Choose the Mansion

This is Kaim’s old crib, but apparently it’s been overrun by some old witch,
who probably has no relation to Kaim at all! WTF A GHOST?? Ok wtf. First we
played Metal Gear Solid, now some Silent Hill/Resident Evil junk? Whatever,
enter the mansion. This place is pretty intimidating, especially if you are
under-leveled. Pick up the treasure on the ground for Poem Fragment A, and the
chest for a Cure-All.
Before we really do anything first, let me explain some of the monsters.
Unidentified Life Forms. Don’t try any magic except Force on them. Just don’t.
Force will kill them in one hit however. Temptars can be killed by anything,
but watch out for their Soul Absorb and ugly sounding moans. In the present,
Soul Armor enemies cannot bit hit by physical attacks. Hit ‘em with Force or
Elemental magic.
Head through the left door and pick up the treasure on the desk. It’s Poem
Fragment B. Check out the mirror, it’s just a mirror… but it’s missing a jewel.
Now go down the north corridor and open up each of the doors. You’ll be forced
into a battle each time. After one of the battles you’ll get a gem. Take it
over to the big mirror. After placing the jewel in the mirror, you’ll go
through it and be in the “good time.”
First of all, push the white statue all the way east. This will help us later.
Now walk down the north corridor and go through the small mirror. It will take
you to the right side of the mansion. Go through the big mirror down the south
corridor Now go back up the corridor and pick up the Poem Fragment C. Walk back
down the corridor (WTF was that screaming? -_-;;) and open the chest. It holds
4 Black Pearl Powders. Exit the door and enter the left door again. Remember
where we moved that statue in the good time? Check around there now, and open
the chest. You’ll get the Celestial Plate.
Go into the big mirror and exit the right door. Walk up the stairs and check
out the clock. Move the hand to the Pot for a Red-Copper Band. The doors will
open as well. The chest behind you holds a Grounda Bomb. Walk into the right
door and open the chest for a Soul Medicine. If you walk near the desk there’s
a small scene. Exit and enter the left door. Go for the chest and you’ll be
stopped by a small scene. Now pry open the chest for the Wheat Plate. Go back
downstairs and through the left door. Down the corridor and through the mirror
again. Go through the big mirror to get back to the real time. Go through the
door on the left, and up to the door in the middle of the stairs. Make sure you
save first though.
In the courtyard, walk around the hedges and open the two chests. One holds the
Bow Plate and the other has a Cure-All. Walk back around the hedges and place
the plates in the holes. Put the Bow Plate in the left hole, the Wheat Plate in
the right hole, and the Celestial Plate at the bottom. The gate should open up.
Pick up the Poem Fragment D and head down the stairs.
You’ll need to find the other circular platforms, each with the right glowing
plate. Head to the second door and walk on the platform. Now go back through
the door and into the fourth one. Step on the platform here. Now go through the
third door at the beginning. Step on the platform, then move the lever on the
left. Go back through the door and enter the second door. Follow the new path
for two chests. A Goddess Medicine and the spell Lost are your prizes.
Now go through the first door and step on the platform. Time to head through
the big door and meet the old witch, who has no affiliations to Kaim at all!
Big cut-scene, and it’s time for a battle!

Main thing to remember is that you need to defeat the elements before the witch

against, but be careful! The elements switch around, so you may be healing one
instead of hurting it. Have Kaim and Seth use physical attacks, and have Jansen
use Force. Use the others to heal/attack. You’ll get hurt when you use physical
attacks, but it’s really your best bet against these punks. Take ‘em out one at

I actually hate this place. I actually have all dungeons, and all underwater
levels :/ . Keep walking for some cut-scenes and a battle. The bats have about
200 HP, and the Dark Sorcerer has around 900 HP. The bats are weak to fire, so
have Jansen cast Flare/Flara on them. The sorcerer will use Black Magic on you
every time you use magic on him, so stick to physical attacks.
Examine the soldier for a dream, and continue on. Talk the right path, and then
take the north east path for a chest containing a Stone Beast Thorn. Go back
and now take the west path, and follow it south to get a Goddess Medicine. Now
go north, check the skeleton for another dream, and head east. Jump over the
ledge and walk south for a chest, giving you 3 Giant Feelers. Now go back up,
and east. Take the jump south to find a Seed in a treasure chest, and then head
north.
In the foul swamp, walk forward to trigger a cut-scene. Grab a firefly and head
north. When you get to the fork, you can walk west for 500G, or grab the Power
Drink to the east. After grabbing the items, follow the path north. You won’t
be able to get past the rocks, so walk east and then north again. You’ll
trigger another scene. Follow the path north, east, then south. If you take the

Helltrap. The name suits this place well. Watch out for holes in the ground,
because you’ll fall back to the next level. There are a few treasures here, but
I suggest moving on for now. There is one treasure that is worth mentioning

watching out for holes, until the path goes south. Now hold the A button to
walk until you can take a north western path (if you take the north eastern
path you can ram those rocks that were blocking your way before, giving you
easier access inside the cave) and get to a save ball. Open the chest near by
to grab another seed.
Time to fight some Roughs. These guys can be a pain, but as long as you have
Lvl 5 magic, such as Flara, and have been leveling up your party, you should be
fine. They’re weak to Wind also, so Winda should take them down pretty quick.
The servants have around 900 HP each. After going through about 4 battles with
them, it’s time to take on the leader.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Boss: Rough Queen
HP: 1,500
Rough Servant x4
HP: 1,360 each
First, focus on each servant (these ones are a bit stronger with more HP). Take
them out with black magic and psychical attacks. Since the queen’s GC is now
down, it doesn’t matter if she calls for help. Focus all your spells and
attacks on her. She only has a small amount of HP more than her servants, so if
you can take out them easily, the queen should be a breeze. Make sure to heal
with Cook when needed, and use pre-emptive healing techniques.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
After the battle, it’s time to exit out of the cave. Woot! Enter the City of
Saman.

7 Seeds
Awakening Bracelet
First off, the seed locations. First one is on the wall outside of the House of
Riordan. The next one is outside next to the Item shop, while another is inside
the item shop on the left. In the Errlio House you can find a seed against the
wall. Two are in the inn, one in the right room downstairs, and one in the
upstairs room. The last seed is in the Tavern in the back corner.
If you walk up to the small market next to he giant tree, you can buy random
items from a crow. He won’t tell you what you’re getting, but you get to choose
from two options. The best thing to get here is the Awakening Bracelet, which
adds 3 slots onto your immortals’ skill slots. If you have no money or no luck,
fear not! We can get this item very shortly for free.
After resting and saving, and buying some items from the shop, try to exit
Saman to the west. You’ll be stopped. You’ll be asked not to enter the port.
Walk over to the inn to continue on with the story. Check out the guy on the
right, and you’ll find the captain in the bathroom. Now you can exit Saman to
the port. Walk over to the group of people for some dialogue, and you’ll see a
bright light. Time to investigate! While making your ship, you’ll be attacked
by some Mantalas.

Boss: Mantalas
HP: 3,050
Manta X3
HP: 620 each
These guys are weak to Ground attacks, so have Jansen use Grounda every turn.
Have Cooke cast All-Shield, and then heal the next rounds. The boss will hide
out in the water, but will reappear after you kill the minions he conjures. Use
Ground attacks and Shield. After the battle, you’ll unlock Seth’s dream part 2
and land at the Experimental Staff

1 Seed
After landing, head back to the ship and grab the seed from the room across
from the save ball. Now walk up all the stairs and enter. This place can get
confusing, so make sure you know where you’re going! Walk straight and down the
east stairs, and then you’ll trigger a cut-scene. Walk up the stairs, and up
the next stairs and walk west.
Tip: When you battle Uhra guardsmen, steal from them You’ll gt Gate Passes,
which you’ll need later.
Head up the stairs after the short cut-scene and continue west. Operate the
lever to make a walkway to the other side. You’ll need the Gate Pass to get to
the elevator here. Run around until you get in a battle with Uhran Guardsmen,
and like I said before, steal from them to get Gate Passes. To the south is
two chests, one behind lasers and the other down some steps, which has 3 Bug
Stomachs in it. If you walk east here, you can take the door to the south and
run up some stairs. This will trigger a cut-scene with drunk (??) Gongora.
When you’re back in control of Kaim, get on the lift to your left to access the
platform. Follow this path and operate the far right lever to drop the box. Now
run back around to the first platform. Operate the lever to lift the box, then
get on the lift and ride it to the right. Now operate the lever again to drop
the box. Get back on the lift to get to the platform. Follow this path to lift
some crates (This will help us later). Now take the elevator down and exit the
door to the south. This next part is a side-quest. Talk to the guy at the top
and he will tell you to relay a message to the guy below. Drop all the boxes
down and get to him. He’ll tell you to relay a message to another guy. We’ll
find him shortly. Exit the door we came into this area in and ride the elevator
back up. Use a gate pass on the laser to our left.
Walk up all the stairs and save. Open up the chest for 4 Paraweed Needles.
Climb down the ladder on your right (up the steps) to find the last guy for
that side-quest to claim your prize. Now go back up and through the door.
After a cut-scene or two, it’s time to take on Gongora! The end of the game at
last! Haha not. You’ll have to chip away 10,000 HP from Gongora to move on.
“Miiiiiiiiiiiing???”
“Yea I’m ok.”
“DOH!”
Yet Another XD Jansen moment.
Ok so the Experimental Staff is collapsing and you need to escape. Tip: Flee/
Use Turn-Tail from all battles, as the timer goes down during them. Run down
all the stairs and go through the door. Head south-west to exit outside again,
and climb down all the stairs again. Follow the path west, then head north and
east.
Head east, and open the chest if you hadn’t before for a Cure-All. Go down the
steps and head east to a ladder. Once down the ladder, Walk across the platform
and grab the Power Drink from the chest. Head south down another ladder (a
really long ladder :/) and then open the southern chest for a Red Snake Weapon
and a Snake Ring. Go down the ladder Run north, then east and run towards the
ship for a pretty cool cut-scene. Time for Disc 3!!

City of Saman
You’ll return to Saman and the ship will sink. Walk down the port and check out
the purple dot on the right of the screen. It’s the weapon shop/emporium. Stock
up on weapons and some accessories. If you walk around to the back and enter
the room, you can join in an auction. The prizes in the auction consist of
treasures that you missed from places you can never go again (such as the
experimental staff we were just at, or the Highlands of Wohl). Check it out and
but spells or items you missed. You’ll be bidding against two other people, and
each of you only gets 3 bids. So wait for the others to start bidding, and bid
near the end when they don’t have any bids left. Don’t worry if you lose an
auction, as it will show up again. Oh, and watch out for that dang rooster! He
bids high fast! You’ll have to buy every item at the auction in order to
receive the Treasure Trove achievement, but you don’t have to buy everything
now.
After you’re done, exit the shop and head back into town. Everyone will be back
to normal now. Rest up at the inn, and let’s ship off! Select Ice Canyon from
the map.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVI. Ice Canyon [ICYN] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Elmon Crown
Tip: In this place are enemies known as Elmons. They look like little monkeys,
and they will steal your stuff! Yes we can get our stuff back, but not yet.
I’ll let you know when.
Save at the ball and walk through the canyon. Make your way north, and then
west up a slope. Follow the paths across, and make sure you don’t slide back
down. Open up the chest for a Seed, and continue on. Walk past the frozen beast
to the next area.
The chest contains a Blazing Ruby. Now head up the path and then east. Here,
watch out for the holes in the wall, as the air that comes out of them will
throw you back to the bottom. This reminds me of parts of Super Mario 64, where
you had to wait for the Twomps to move before you could pass. Now then, walk up
and around. If you slide down a tiny bit and walk to the right, you’ll enter a
cave back in the Gorge that holds a Seed. Now exit the cave and head up again.
See the penguin? Ok walk north and up the eastern slope to go through a cave.
Open the chest for a Warm Vest. We can also get the Amulet near this spot later
on, which will teach your immortals Absorb Attack. For now, head back through
the cave. This time head left, and jump over the ledges, watching out for the
wind. Follow the path down and ram the snow. Head back across the ledges north
and take the southern path this time. Take the path all the way down, across
where we rammed the snow, and save! Time for a boss.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Boss: Dinozaoro
HP: 20,160
This will be a different battle strategy from before. Dino will counter your
physical attacks, so I suggest not doing them. Have Seth and Kaim provide
support for your others, healing and such. Have your casters cast Black magic.
He’s very intimidating, but if you keep healing with Kaim and Seth, you should
be able to take him down in around 10 or so turns. If you have Mack in your
party, have him use Mindus on your casters, and when you think the boss is
about to go down, use Powerus on your attackers and go all out!
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
After the battle, you can check out some hidden treasure. Walk north east and
up the slope. The chest holds the Elmon Crown! Go back down the slope and exit
the path to the left. If you’d like, head back to Ice Canyon South. Walk around
here and get in a battle with an Elmon. He’ll steal the Elmon Crown from you!
Walk back up the slopes, but when you are on the eastern side, next to the path
heading across to the west, carefully slide down the small slope in back of the
bridge, and then slide again north east. You’ll find the Elmon King! Battle him
to get your stuff back. He has around 4500 HP. Now exit back and head to the
City of Khent!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVII. Khent [KHNT] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Awakening Bracelet
This city will become unavailable in a bit, and you won’t ever get to come
back. You only get to see its gates, but behind one of the soldiers is an
awakening bracelet in a chest! Also, don’t worry if you missed this place, as
it does not count for the World Traveled Achievement. Exit the city and head
to Gohtza City.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVIII. Gohtza City [GHZA] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
5 Seeds
First off, let me say that this place is huge compared to the other towns.
There are three levels to Gohtza - Low Town, Middle Town, and High Town. Ok,
Seed locations: One is inside of Rosa’s Restaurant. Two others are in the
Apartment in Low Town on the 10th floor. Another is in Bargel’s Inn, also in
the Apartment, and the last one is in the train station, near the lady who
won’t let you in.
Walk down the platform to trigger a cut-scene. The door to your right is an
inn, and there’s a shop up and around to the east.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
WARNING WARNING
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Do NOT do ANYTHING else until you buy the spells Shieldus and Barricadus from
this shop. If you don’t, and you miss them in the next area they appear, YOU
WILL MISS THEM. They do not show up in the auction house for some reason. You
will miss the spells, and miss two achievements COMPLETELY. So buy them now,
please.
Go back to the big screen when you are down buying things, and into the
elevator on your left to the waiting room. Try to enter and you’ll trigger a
cut-scene. Now head back up the elevator, and north east, past the weapon shop.
Another cut-scene, and Kaim and Sarah will leave your group. Take the big
elevator in the middle now.
Walk up the path and trigger a cut-scene with lots of veins. Try to walk
forward, and the King will test you. Make your way up for a pitiful cut-scene.
You’ll now be controlling Kaim, so head east to follow the guy. Enter the
apartment next to the save ball. Select the seventh floor and enter he room it
shows. Walk into the room down the hall for more scenes.
Now you’ll be in control of Cooke and Mack, the trespassing rugrats! Walk up
the last escalator, and talk to the old lady who explains the Aurora. Walk a
little north and open the chest for a Flara Bomb. Now head back down into the
waiting room. Walk up the farthest escalator this time. Walk north and open
another chest for a Circular Dance Discus and Ring. Now walk over to the open
door on the train. GO GO GO! Walk up to the seat for some more scenes.
We’re back with the trio now. Ride back down the elevator, and take the
elevator to the Waiting Room again to re-unite with Sarah and Kaim. Walk up the
middle escalator and walk north. After the scenes, go up the left escalator,
and steal the train! I think it just runs in the family.
We’ll have to battle some baddies on top of the train. The smaller ones are
really easy, just use Magic and physical attacks. After beating a few of them,
it’s time for another boss battle!
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Boss: Armored Train
HP: 5,500
This guy shouldn’t take too much too beat. He can nullify physical attacks, so
watch out for that. Have Sarah use Flara and such, and burn this bad boy in a
few turns. His attacks are cannon blasts, but don’t do enough damage to alarm
anyone.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Back on the train, cool cut-scenes occur. You’re controlling Gongora now! Time
to make a speech. Walk down and do your thing. Afterwards, walk back up and
demonstrate the power of Grand Staff. First you’ll have to “battle” against
some acolytes. You have to use every spell you have to take em out. One guy
will refuse *sob* he’s my hero. After taking em out, some pretty cool
cut-scenes happen.
So remember how I said you need your party to be equally leveled throughout the
game? Well this is where that shines first. You’ll be split up, and many
battles will occur.
Save at the ball and make your way through the train. Don’t make the mistake
of using fire against these ice monsters, as their type is water >_>;; In the
next room, push the boxes out of the way and continue on. Battle the monsters
and head through the door. Move some more boxes and head through the door. Head
to the door and enter 9240. Cut-scene time, and ice monster time. More
cut-scenes, and now it’s time to control Seth and Tolten.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XIX. Uhra Alleyways [URAW] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Talisman
Battle the guards and the dog. They aren’t hard at all, but take care of the
dog first. After the battle, walk east and through the alleyway. At the first
fork, you an grab a Seed to the left, and another one is north of the other
fork. Take the other fork, past the ladder and take a right. There should be
another ladder. Take this one up, and walk along the wall to your right. Enter
the second door for another seed in the weapon shop. Exit and go through the
other door. You’ll receive the Talisman accessory. Talk to the innkeeper and
leave through the back door. There’s another Seed in an object here! Low go
down the ladder into the sewers.
Walk down the steps and operate the button to lower the wall. Walk across it
and operate the other one. Now go back across the first one and take the steps
down and around, and up some more steps! Walk into the right cave for a look at
Gongora’s secret cave, then head up the steps. Grab those chests if you like,
then climb the ladder to the north. The spell All-Curse is down there, so
fiddle with the buttons until you can grab it, then walk around and up the
ladder to the north west.
If you continue east here, you’ll come across another seed. Take the other path
and head up the ladders. Now run across the rooftops and down the second ladder
you pass. Continue down the path and watch some cut-scenes. Now walk east for
more scenes. A battle has broken out! You just have to make it to the circle
area to end this part, so battle who you must. When you do battle, you’ll be
up against guards from both forces :/
And, wait for it…wait for it…..wait for iiiiiiit….

and walk north for a couple cut-scenes.
Time for one of the greatest cut-scenes in the game. Now then, you’ll be in

Now we’re in Low Town. Head straight from your position to reach a save ball.
If you didn’t grab the seeds before, there are three inside the Apartment here.
To continue, head back to where you started and take the eastern path. Walk up
the northern stairs here and up the ladder. First, grab a Power Drink to the
west. Now go north east to trigger some cut-scenes. Jump across the next ledge
and head down the ladder to your left. Walk to the right and over the broken
pieces, and up another ladder. There’s a goddess medicine in the chest here.
Continue up the stairs and in the corner on the left is a hydrant. Kick it for
a seed. Walk east and jump over the ledge. Now ram the door on the right, and
once again, climb down some stairs. Head east to get to the tracks and run
north.

more north for a pretty predictable scene and a boss battle!

Boss: Living Ice

First have all your party cast Ground type moves, except Cooke. Have her cast
All-Barricade. On your next turn, use ground moves again, and All-Barricade
again. The boss will probably now cast Reflect, making all magic bounce off him
and stick to you. Another attack he will use is Freezing Bit, which will freeze
that member. If he casts Reflect, have Ming use Powerus on Mack, and have him
attack/use skills. He can also use All-Aquarus, so keep healing. After
defeating him, you’ll be switched back to Seth and Tolten.

and head east to the next area. Walk around and up the two ladders, and then
through the door. After the scene, walk north east and through the door.
Through the next door walk up the stairs and climb down the ladder on your
right. Walk north, then west. Head to the boxes, and push them to claim your
prize. It’s a Holy Guard accessory. Now head down and to the right. Make your
way north east for a pot with a seed in it. Climb up the ladder to your right
and repair another. The chest contains a Cure-all. Now operate the button to
open the gate and head west. Up the ladders is a saving point, healing point,
and a shopkeeper! There must be something big ahead :/
Buy some weapons, accessories and healing items. Now head west and operate the
button to lower the gate. Walk left and north to operate the button in the back
twice. Now climb down the ladder near the first button and up the stairs to
raise the gate. Head north to the next area. Before you exit, check the hidden
pot on the right for a seed.
Walk east around the Tank and down the ladder. Walk east across the bridge, and
around another tank. Again, walk across a bridge, and up the stairs. Head
around the tank and repair again. Operate the second button to get some Godly
Tears. Now operate the first button to move the other stairs. Walk down and up
the ladder. Around the tank and over the bridge we go. In the next room, we’ll
find a seed. At the bottom of the stairs, take the south path to find the seed
in a pot. Now go west through the door.
Operate the switch and open the chest for 5 Demon Sculptures. Go back through
the door we came from, and take the east path. Walk north, then west and
through the door. Head up the ladder, and walk west across the bridge. Walk
north, then east and through the door. Get ready for a boss battle! Walk down
the steps and through the big door. Trigger a cut-scene by walking north.

Boss: Magic Beast

Now then, Good news and Bad news. Good news is that we don’t have to take out
the boss. We just have to target the Dock Crane. Bad news is that we can’t use
Seth’s physical attack, as the crane is out of reach. Have Seth STEAL from the
monster to get the Crystal Fragment, a great accessory for your casters. Target
the Crane with Sed’s gun and elemental items. Try to take out the crane fast,
because the Beast is pretty strong. Give Sed some Power Drinks to make the
battle go by faster as well. If you must, use healing items. The Magic Beast
will store up energy for a huge attack, so try to take out the crane in the
next turn.

north. Walk north east, as north west is a slope that you can’t walk up. In the
next room, you can actually walk into the poison to grab the spell Forceus. But
while in the mist you lose HP, so watch out! Now head east and jump over the
ledges.
The next area is aptly name path of poison mist. You should see a gleaming
item in one of the geysers. It’s a seed! Head up to your left. Ram the boulder
to block the mist. Now go back down and take the eastern path. Walk north,
watching out for geysers. Again, head north, but be careful. The ledges are
slippery, and you could fall into the poison mist. Head west across the two
geysers, and start jumping across. Take the left rocks though, because the
middle one will collapse with you on it.
Save, and equip everyone with a Warm Vest. Now get ready for a boss battle!

The warm vests will allow us not to be frozen by the beast’s magic. Now here’s
the bad part. Spells don’t work on this guy. So only Mack can do damage. Have
Ming cast Powerus on him a few times, and have Cooke cast Cover on the whole
party. Jansen can heal. The boss can use All-Aquarus, so be careful about when
you heal and such. Spam Combo with Mack and you should be done in around 15 or
so turns :/ Also, your Covers will run out in a few turns, so make sure to re
cast it.

Disc 4 is a great time to do any of the side-quests you’d like. First however,

Tablet Fragment
Magical Lock Key

Magic-Powered Locator lvl. 2
Trooky Talisman
First off:
1. Remember the Elmons from the Ice Canyon? They stole your stuff, and you had
have them steal the Elmon Crown, then battle the leader to make them stop and
give you your stuff back? Well this place has its own version: Trookys. If
you're following this guide's walkthrough, you should get the Trooky
Talisman here, which is the item they need to steal.
After the cut-scene, save at the ball. Now first off, if you didn’t gain a
bunch of levels at Numara Atoll a few discs ago, you’ll gain a bunch here.
There’s also quite a bit of valuable items here. Let’s press on shall we? Take
the western platform, and open the chest to the left for 4 Magic Staff
Fragments. Take the eastern platform, and then the southern one for a Tablet
Fragment. Take the only platform back to where we started. Get on the western
one again, and this time ride the north platform to the entrance of the Ruins.
If you walk to the right, and all the way down the path, you’ll reach a Royal
Seal. Now walk back and ride the elevator up. Take the second set of stairs
down and get on the platform. You’ll have to split up now. Have Seth operate
the platform while Kaim rides it up. Ram the platform on the left down. Head
north west from this point to get a Magical Lock Key (needed for the Backyard).
Now switch back to Seth and heave her ride that platform down. Take the stairs
on your left, and then more stairs on the left for a treasure chest containing
4 Iron Ball of Ruins. Now take the stairs on the east, up and around, and ride
the elevator up.
Open the chest for the spell Reset, and continue down the stairs. Walk across
the diagram in the ground and Ram the platform on the right. Now switch over to
Kaim. Walk down the stairs to the left of the inlet/Chest/platform we rammed,
and down more stairs to the right. (Don't ride the platform yet, there's
still a Magic Analysis Book that enables Lvl 3 Composite magic at the end of
the path) Ride the platform to the west down, and then the other platform
to meet up with the others. Now head to the diagram, and ride the platform to
the north.
Head east and ride the platform down, then save at the ball and replenish your
HP/MP. This is one of the Magic Sphere spots, as well as the a treasure chest
that contains the Magic-Powered Locator lvl 2. Walk west for another platform.
Back in the ruins again, we’ll have to split up once more. Have both Kaim and
Seth walk east and down the stairs. Operate the platform for Seth. Walk west
and north, and open the chest for 5 Dragon Scales. Now head up the stairs on
your left and ram the platform at the end. Head back the way you came, and this
time take the northern stairs, and ride the platform down. Take the western
path and down another platform. Head down the stairs, and more stairs to the
left, and guide your way to the north, then east, then onto the platform.
Now switch over to Kaim. Walk back and around to the West, and ride the
platform that we rammed before. Walk up the stairs and down the next, then down
more stairs, and then down even more to the left! Grab the pillar and move it
onto the platform. Now walk up the stairs and down more ( :/ :/ ) and open the
chest for the Trooky Talisman valuable.
Grab the pillar and place it on the platform to the south, with you on it! Grab
the pillar again, and put it on the platform to the south. Walk all the way
north, and grab one of the pillars. Take it off the platform. Now head back a
bit, and go down all the stairs. To the south is a chest containing Twin Cross.
Head north and around to another diagram on the ground. Grab the pillar on the
platform and take it off to raise the platform. Switch back to Seth, and grab
the pillar and place it on the other platform. Walk past the next pillar for a
chest containing another Tablet Fragment. Now grab the pillar and put it on the
platform to re-unite with the others. Get ready, because it’s time for a boss
battle!
Ride the platform up to meet the Boss.

Boss: Ancient Fiend
HP: 15,880
Keystone x2
HP: 6,680
This battle can be tricky. First focus on supporting your party members with
All-Barricade and power-ups, and attacking the keystones. Use physical attacks
and Lvl 6 Black Magic to take them down quickly. Next we’ll be going for the
Fiend himself. He’ll use Shadowus all the time, doing a great deal of damage to
your party. So designate one or two members to heal every round. This way your
HP will be up the whole battle. Have the rest take him down before he kills off
your party.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Another funny Jansen moment, and a WTF Tolten one…..Let’s continue.
So now the Nautilus can go through the riptides. Out next destination is going
to be near Numara. But if you feel under leveled, go back to the Ruins and
level up, because this next part is pretty intense. Some things you’ll
need/want to make this next part easier: Black Magic Spell Sleep, Patience,
Fire Ward, Double Item, Potion Booster. Ok so once you’re ready, steer over to
Numara for a cut-scene.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVIII.Numara Port [NMRP] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Boss: Arthosaurus
HP: 14,370
This guy’s only real threatening move is it’s Heat Breath. This is where the
Fire Ward comes in handy. It reduces fire attacks. Cast Sleep on him, and take
him to town. Use your best moves. This is the intense part I was talking about?
Heck no. After the battle, here we go!
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Now you’ll have to stop 4 Arthrosauruses (wtf sp?) from getting to Numara, and
they mean business! Ok first, run up to the first one you see. Cast Sleep and
use Turn Tail immediately! This will leave the Beast asleep, and he wont move
until he wakes up. He should be purple now on the Map. Now go to the second
and third ones and do the same. When you battle the fourth one, take him down.
After the battle, if the others are still asleep, tackle the first one you put
to sleep and defeat it. If one of the others wakes up, either quickly defeat
this one, or go put it to sleep. Using this strategy you should have no
problems. Another way to put the beasts to sleep is to use Sleep Rings. Also,
note that when you enter a battle with them they stop. So you can also enter
a battle with them, then flee, and they will stop for a short while.
After the Battle, go to Numara City!
Numara
Continue north and SAVE. Enter the palace for a couple cut-scenes, and another
Battle >_>;;
Support Heavy Tank A
HP: 4840
Support Heavy Tank B
HP: 4840
Kakanas Heavy Tank
HP: 5200
Kakanas Cannon
HP: 4160
Focus on the right Tank first, as it powers the Cannon of the main tank. The
physical attack the Main tank does isn’t nearly as bad as the cannon. After
taking it down, go for the left tank. Make sure you are powering up your
attackers and healing at the same time. After they are both down, Blast away at
the Main tank’s Cannon and such. This battle should be a piece of cake after
what we just went through.
After the battle, and some cut-scenes, get aboard the White Boa!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVIV. Grand Staff [GRSF] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Aquarus
White Charm
Shinus
Sorceror's Discus
Groundus
Ok before we head off, now's a great time to finish some side-quests. The
White Boa can charge through ice, which means the world is your oyster,
sky is the limit, etc. So check out the sidequest part of this guide or
roam around if you wish.
When you're ready, head to Grand Staff, surrounded by ice. If you cannot
find it, check your map for a big glowing spot.
After some cut-scenes, it's time to get to the top. You'll need to cross
a few pipes, but be careful! Hot steam is blowing, and if you get caught
it the crossfire you'll be thrown to the level below. As you reach the save
ball, save if you wish, and continue on.
Walk straight, and take the ladder to your right up. Operate the terminal to
shut off the fans. Continue on, and climb the ladder on your right for the
spell Aquarus. Climb back down, and head to an elevator. Ride this to the
next level, which should be the Second Boiler. Up ahead is another elevator,
which will take you to the Armory. In the Armory are some tanks. By examining
a tank, you can optionally battle a semi-fierce enemy known as Experiment 1.
The only real reason to battle these guys throughout this place is that
they sometimes drop the White Charm accessory. Head to the shaft in the
lower part of this Armory, and head down. You should see another terminal.
Operate it to turn off more fans, yippee!
Jump over to the pipe on your left, and make sure you are holding A to walk
slowly, as the pipe is quite slippery. Ride the lift to the north for the
spell Shinus. Head back down and go through the shaft until you are at the
Second Boiler again. There's a chest here that contains the Sorceror's
Discus weapon. Now ride the platform, and take the elevator back to the
Armory. Walk down and take the next elevator to get to the First Boiler.
Climb down the ladder on the other side, and operate another terminal to
shut off some fans. Climb down the ladder to your right, and kick the
trash cans for some Godly Dragon Tears and the spell Groundus. Climb
back up the ladder, and this time head north over the pipe. Before the
next pipe, take the ladder down to your left, and turn off the fan by
operating a terminal. To get to this terminal, push the block in front
of it.
Walk back to the elevators, and head back to the First Boiler. take the
ladder up, and walk past the elevators and Experiment 1 tanks. Climb
the ladder and ride the elvator up up up. Get ready for a boss battle!
Now before this battle, some great skills to have equipped:
Absorb Fire/Water/Ground/Wind
Absorb Magic
Auto Barrier
Ailment Resistence
The battle will be a lot easier with those.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Boss: 6 Nefarious Saints
HP: 1,510 each
Note: Each saint can only be hit by certain magic/attack. Remember these
guys from that Gongora cut-scene thing? Well it's the same way. Their
color will determine what they can be hit by. You'll face 6 out of 7
of these:
Red: Weak to Fire
Yellow: Weak to Ground
Green: Weak to Wind
Blue: Weak to Water
Gold: Weak to physical attacks
White: Weak to Shadow
Black: Weak to status ailments
Start off by defeating the elementally-weak saints. Make sure to cast
All-Barricade/All-Barricadus, and better yet, All-Generatus if you can.
Using those should take care of your defense for the entire battle.
Continue to take out each saint, and you'll probably find out that
you won'd need to heal at all (if you cast All Barricade and All
Generatus).
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
After the battle ends, you'll once again have the choice of completeing
some side-quests or finishing the story. Head over to Grand Staff, near
Tosca Village, and it's time for Grand Staff #2.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVV. Grand Staff #2 [GRST] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Enchanted Necklace
Lord Earrings
Reflect
Head south and operate the switch to turn on the lift. Ride the elevator
up and hit the swtich to move the platforms over. Climb up the ladder
near here, and get ready for some Lift fun. By rotating the lift to
different positions, you can access different treasure, such as an
Enchanted Necklace and Lord Earrings. Make your way all the way up
by using the lift. Climb the ladder to the north west, and examine the
terminal. Now climb down the southern ladder. Push all the buttons to
start up the pistons, and head back to the lift. Take the north west
ladder and examine the terminal at the lowest level. Jump across the
ledge for the spell Reflect. Jump back and return to the lift.
Take the elevator on the northwest catwalk in Magic Control up to the
Glass chamber. Head up to a save ball, and climb down the ladder.
You;ll have to split up here, but its not that bad! Pick two teams of
your strongest party members, and get ready to battle two monsters, one
monster pre team. if you've been leveling up and not fleeing battles,
these guys should be a piece of cake.
The catch here is that you both have to defeat the monsters on the same
turn, or it's game over! So just power up turn one with both teams, and
then bust out your most powerful attacks and spells.
Save and take the elevator west, and get ready for the real boss battle!
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
Boss: Magic Beast
HP: 26,790 HP
Remember that guy from the docks? He's back! Gah, no crane this time!
Well this time around you're a lot stronger, and you get to use your
entire party =D. On your first turn, power up your physical attackers,
and cast All-Shieldus if you can. Other than that, unleash Forceus and
elemental magic, and use your powered up peeps to take the beast down in
a few turns.
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
When this battle is done, ride up for some cut-scenes and a battle
with ol' bleach head. You don't even have to attack. After the battle,
it's time to escape :( . You have eight minutes, so make sure to
flee every battle and HOLD X!!! (The X button allows you to run
faster!).
This is the last time you can do anything, so make sure you are fully
upgraded, at around level 60 for the next part. Also, when you save after
this next part, make sure to save on a DIFFERENT file, as you won't
return to the World Map, but start the New Game+
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XVI. Tower of Mirrors [TWMR] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
When you're ready to continue with the main plot, save and head underwater
at the Grand Staff to get to the Tower of Mirrors. Lots of cut-scenes
here, andit's time for a battle with WHO??? WELL THATS A BIG SURPRISE!
Oh, and make sure you have protection against Petrify before going into
this battle.

Boss: Luminous Magic Beast
HP: 55,860
First, cast All-Generatus and All-Barricadus. Start powering up and
attacking with your phsyicals, and use your casters to support the rest.
They can also attack when not needed to heal or re-cast support spells.
The beast will eventually use its Ultimate Ray attack. After this
happens, STOP using spells, because he will only absorb them! Physically
attack with all you have (that means you Sarah! ok not really).
Gongora will show up, and only the immortals will be able to battle him.
This is pretty easy, as your allies will keep you alive/supported.
After a few turns and a cut-scene, you'll really be battling Gongora,
with no help from your mortals. Once again, power up your attackers and
duke it out with Gongy. If you plan on using elemental spells, make
sure you have Ultimate Analysis on, as Gongora will switch his type
throughout the battle. You really can't lose unless you're terribly
under leveled. :)
~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=~-=
After the final battle, there's some pretty neat-o cut-scenes and
happenings.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 7. Side-Quests [SDQS] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
---------------------- ---------------------
*******************************************************************
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I. Royal Seals >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This side quest can be started when you have Tolten in your party. Your prize
for completing this side quest is the Skill Ultimate Hit and a very powerful
sword for Tolten (or anyone with Royal Equipment on).
The location of the first Royal Seal is Gongora’s Mansion. You can enter it
again during Disc 4. Go into the house and out to the courtyard (second door in
the left hallway). The next Royal Seal is in Uhra’s back alleys. If you start
from the Castle Square entrance, you’ll get to it easier. Climb up the ladder
that leads to the walkway on the roof. Go down the first ladder you come to and
follow the path to a dead end with the Seal.
The third Royal Seal is in Crimson Forest. From the beginning, walk west until
you get to the big elevator, but don’t ride it. Head east, and the Seal is in a
small outlet to the north. The next Seal is in Black Cave. In the
The fifth Royal Seal is in Ice Canyon, where we fought the boss. Go up the
secret slope on the east and it’s at the top. Another Seal is in Burning Cave.
You’ll have to walk through the poisonous mist that led you to Forceus. This
time head left and it’s at the end.
The seventh Seal is in Ancient Ruins, in the room called Astral Square. Next,
we head to Kelolon Village for the eighth Royal Seal. It’s off the path in the
north east.
Now we have to go to Uhra. Have the Taxi drive you to the Palace Square, and
walk all the way east, into the building. Go up the stairs and into the
elevator on your left. Walk up to the last Royal Seal. You’ll meet the first
King of Uhra, and he’ll want to test Tolten’s power. He’s pretty easy, so don’t
worry about leveling Tolten up for this battle. Do what he says, and when he
gives you Ultimate Hit, use it on him to finish the battle!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< IV. Ultimate Weapons >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Each of the characters have an Ultimate Weapon, or a weapon that will give a
character the most Attack.
Kaim: You have a few options here. The first option is to Use Tolten’s powerful
sword he got from the King of Uhra via Royal Equipment. You can also grab some
Orichalcum from the Temple f Enlightenment and have the Blacksmith up in
Ipsilon Mountains forge you a sword. But I suggest you use Tolten’s sword.
Seth: Give the orichalcum to the blacksmith in Ipsilon Mountains and have him
forge the sword for Seth. This is a great idea, as this sword has higher attack
than the White Isis, the other powerful sword for Seth.
Mack: Mack's Ultimate weapon is obtained from a treasure hunt (number 17 to
be exact). Talk to Tatan (must be on dis 4) in the Katyla House in Numara.
The treasure lies where the hidden boss at the top of the Temple of
Enlightenment is.
Sed: Find all of his pirate buddies and they will forge you a Magic Aniera
Rifle.
Tolten: Break all the Royal Seals and defeat the First King of Uhra
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< V. Magic Capsules >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
In the Grand Staff Construction area, down the ladder that you had to sneak
past the guards to get to, a guard will ask you to find three capsules in
Gongora’s Mansion. Head over there. The first one is in the right hallway, on a
pipe. The next one is in the laboratory, next to the elevator. The last capsule
is down in Gongora’s secret lab, in the actual lab on the desk.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VI. Magic Spheres >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Also in the Grand Staff Construction area, head into the hut in the south west.
A guard will ask you to place 4 Magic Spheres around the world at certain
magical places. You’ll need to put one near the save ball in Ice Canyon (the
save ball at the very beginning of Ice Canyon), one inside Black Cave at the
end in the back of the middle pole on the platform in the center. Another is to
be places in Ipsilon Mountains, near the save ball at the top where you fought
the boss. The last Sphere goes in the Ancient Ruins, where the save ball and
HP/MP replenish ball are.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VII. Money-Money >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
For this side-quest, you’ll first have to go to the Ancient Ruins, and have a
Money-Money steal some money from you. Money-Moneys can be found near the
Trooky Queen. Simply attack one of the money-moneys (without killing it), and
it will use an attack known as Steal and Heal. Afterwards, head to Terrace Cave.
Follow the trail of money, and battle the Boss Money-Money inside of a treasure
Chest. He’ll give you one of the Backyard Magazines.
Note: This sidequest, although involving treasure on the ground and opening
chests, does not affect the Treasure Trove achievement. This has been tested
and proved :)
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VIII. Cubic Music Scores >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Cubic Music side-quest can be entertaining. In a few towns, most notably
Numara, you’ll find a man next to a cube. To play, you must hit the correct
notes. If there are two groups of 4 notes you need to hit, have 4 people in
your party. If there’s three groups of 5 notes you need to hit, have 5 people
in your party. The Cube Music side-quest can be completed in Numara with
the man next to a cube, in Uhra's Central Plaza (near the monorail), or on
the White Boa with the lady next to the cube.
There are 9 different Music Scores that can be found around the world. Here
are the locations and rewards for completing each:
Cubic Music Score 1 - The Cubic Music Man in Numara gives it to you.
Reward: Force spell
Cubic Music Score 2 - Found in the Sorcerer’s Shrine (Crimson Forest)
Reward: Dodger spell
Cubic Music Score 3 - White Boa
Reward: Kelolon Badge accessory
Cubic Music Score 4 - Northern Cape
Reward: Wind Charm accessory
Cubic Music Score 5 -Ice Canyon
Reward: Toughness Brooch accessory
Cubic Music Score 6 - Found in Burning Cave (Path of Poison Mist room)
Reward: 64 Caliber Magic Rifle Weapon
Cubic Music Score 7 - Found in Terrace Cave

Cubic Music Score 9 - Pirate Fortress at the top-east. Take the gondola down
to the west, then climb the ladders, heading to the east. You'll come to a
penguin, who begins to walk away. Follow the Penguin or walk past him to get
to a chest with the Music Score in it and a pipot nearby.
Reward: Sunderch Glasses valuable
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< IX. Sed’s Pirates >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
If you travel to the Pirate Fortress, one of Sed’s pirate buddies will tell you
that the others are missing. Your job is to find all six of them.
One pirate can be found in the White Boa, where Ming usually is with the Harp.
Another is in Saman City, near the big tree
A third is at the Sea of Baus to the north in a barrel next to the coast.
Another pirate is in the Sorcerer’s Mansion in the left room. To find
One pirate is underwater to the east of Uhra. Go underwater with the Nautilus
and search for bubbles.
The last pirate is in Kelolon Village in a random battle. Make sure Sed is in
your active party, and walk around. A random battle will occur, and the
Kelolons will be beating up your friend. Defeat the Kelolons.
Travel back to the Pirate’s Fortress to claim your prize: Magic Aneira Rifle
for Sed!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< X. Invisible Chests >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
First off, you’ll have to complete Cubic Music Score 9 before we do this
side-quest. The glasses will help us “see” the invisible chests. There are 11
in total, and here are their locations:
1 - Beginning of Gongora’s Secret Cave
2 - Uhra Residential area. Walk east of the statue thing that moves.
3 - Ipsilon Mountains before the hut, walk east into a dead end.
4 - Ipsilon Mountians where the save ball is, where you fought the boss, and
where the Magic Sphere was put.
5 - Sea of Baus, right when you enter take a right.
6 - Crimson Forest, behind where the boss was.
7 - Sorcerer’s Mansion, behind you go into the Mansion, walk east.
8 - Northern Cape, to the north-east.
9 - Ice Canyon, where you fought the boss, walk up the secret path to the east,
where the Royal Seal is/was.
10 - Gohtza, Low Town, to the east next to all the rubble there’s a ladder.
Climb down for it.
11 - Refugee Camp, down the ladder near the water, and up the other ladder.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XI. Temple of Enlightenment >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
First off, let me say that this place is con-fus-ing at first. Without a guide
you can get lost in here for hours (i did...>_>;;).
A few notes before we start:
1. You should be around level 55 before venturing in here. When you leave,
you'll most likely be level 70+, and if you get lost, 75+. There is an enemy
in here named the Hellish Kelolon. Defeating him will net you a level no matter
what level you are. He has around 22,000 HP. If that sounds like a lot, get a
load of this: Many of the enemies in here have 15k+ HP. Either that or you'll
go up against a bunch with 8k+ HP
2. This place has a lot of treasure. If I miss something in this guide, let me
know and I'll add it in. Ok, here we go
3. If you'r ehaving a hard time with this place even with this guide, check out
Split Infinity's youtube videos on the place. He passes all the chests and
defeats the boss at the top. It's very hard to explain this place in words, so
his videos may help!
Temple of Enlightenment
Angel Guard
Magical Lock Key
Save at the ball. This part is basically like the Easrtern Ruins entrance. Get
on the platform and ride west. Now ride the other platform. Before heading in,
ride the other platform. Walk south and ride the southern platform for a chest.
It either holds a Slot Seed or 6 Jewels of Wisdom. Ride the southern platform
to get back to where we started. Repeat the previous path, except take the
platform we didn't take to get to the other chest. Head back to the entrance,
ride the platforms, and walk up the stairs.
Walk north west, and operate the red block you see. Operate it one more time.
Now ride the platform down. Head to the east for a chest with 6 Forbidden
Explosives, and ride back up the platform. Now ride the first elevator you
passed. If you ride the elevator a bit south and to the right here, you'll come
across two treasure chests. If the platform is not here, you'll have to take
the path that leads west around the room and head east to get to these chests.
Back to the first elevator and ride the other elevator to go down. Operate the
red block ahead to get to a treasure chest. Now head back and ride the elevator
to your left. Walk north down this path, and turn at the first right. Head east
around the corner and out the door. As you walk east, operate the platforms. Now
enter back into the room, and this time walk west and around the corner, and
go through the door. There is a platform in the hole, so ride it up. Walk to
the left and operate the platform to get it working.
To the right are some steps with a treasure chest with 5 Death Powders.
Now ride back down the elevator and head to the left. Walk up the steps
and through the door. From here make your way left and operate the red block
to access the save point. Now walk north from the save point, and at the fork,
take the right path and ride the elevator up. Ride the northern elevator up
as well, and make your way south west for a chest with Orichalcum. Head back
down the elevator, and this time operate the red block to move the platforms
around.
Walk south and up the elevator here for a chest with 3 Star Absorbers.
Go back down the elevator, and now take the northern elevator. Head south,
then east. If you enter the alcove in front of you, and walk left, you'll
come to a chest with an Angel Guard accessory. Walk back to the entrance of
this alcove, and walk towards the right of the screen to get to a door.
Exit. First, walk to your right, and ram the platform down. Now take the ladder
and walk south west. You get to some steps, and a chest that holds a
Magical Lock Key! Head east across the platforms for you prize. It's a jewel,
and we'll be needing it shortly. Head back up the ladder and through the door.
Head west, then north to ride the elevator down. Operate the red block to the
south, and get on the elevator directly to your right. Operate the red block if
you must to get to the save ball. Now walk west of that red block, and head
north. At the fork, take a left, and walk around the pillar and onto the
elevator. Walk left, and now we need to get past this platform. So first ride
up it, then ride back down. Continue south and operate the red block
**Two** times. Yes, twice. Now ride the elevator we went up and down on and
walk to the left and out the door. Head across the platform and down the
ladder to claim the second jewel.
Now enter the Temple again, and ride the platform that we did not ride to
get here. This is the second one as you are coming from the door. Ride it up
and walk all the way around to an altar. Place the jewels and watch as another
elevator appears. Ride it and get ready for a Boss Battle. Check the Hidden
Bosses section for strategies on how to beat this baddie.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< XII. Terrace Cave >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Terrace Cave is located at the bottom of the south-western land mass. You'll
need to enter through an underwater cave with the Nautilus. This place is
full of goodies, but is basically one big maze. I'm simply going to be
guiding you to each chest here. Walk north west up the rock path until you get
to a flat part, then walk south down some more rocks. You should come to a
chest. Walk back up the rocks to the flat platform mentioned before, and this
time head up to your left. When you get to the fork, take the right. After
going up more rocks, you'll reach another fork. Head left again, and at the
top, walk left and down the slope. Now go to the south east for a chest.
Walk back up and go down the slope on your left for another chest. Take the
left path down, and at the fork, take the right path. When you get to a fork,
take the slope to your right down, and then two more slopes down. Walk to
the right, then north. Jump over the gap for two treasure chests. Now
walk back, jump back to the other side, and head south east. You'll find
yet another chest, and a slope. Take the slope down to get to the beginning.
Walk up the left path once again, and at the fork, take the east path. Head
up the rocks again, and at the fork, head to your right to an open area.
Walk north up more rocks to get to a platform, and head up some more rocks.
There's a chest in an inlet. Now continue west and down the slope. Make
your way all the way back down and exit the cave.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 8. The Backyard [BKYD] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
---------------------- -------------------
******************************************************************
The Backyard is located in Low Town of Gohtza. It’s in the apartment, and when
the game feels you are ready to enter, it will list The Backyard as a location
for the elevator. You’ll fight different battles, with different conditions
(such as no spells allowed, etc). To complete the backyard, you’ll have to get
three stars on every battle (21 battles in total). To get three stars however,
you’ll have to follow secret rules for each battle. I’ll list all the secret
rules here, as well as guide you through the battles.
There are four different classes of battles, ranging from Light to Super Heavy.
Light Class will be automatically unlocked, but the other three require Magical
Lock Keys. The three keys are located:
-Gongora's Secret Lab: Right before you actually go in the lab, turn around and
run through the secret path.
-Temple of Enlightenment: Near one of the jewels, down some steps
-Ancient Ruins: Astral Square, at the top.
As for the battles themselves:
---------------
Light Class
---------------
1. The Kelolon Battalion!
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-See the combination attack at least three times.
Strategy:
Use 5 party members, and either defend until you see 3 combination moves or
cast All-Shield and such. Make sure you don’t kill them before you see the move
3 times, because there needs to be 3 of them alive to perform it. After you see
the Combination Attack three times, defeat the enemies.
2. The Festival of Magic
Battle Conditions:
-Up to 2 PC’s
-Defeat all enemies
-Attacks not allowed
-Skills not allowed
-Items not allowed
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat all enemies with your characters
Strategy:
Use two casters, and cast black magic every turn to take em out. Sweet and
short.
3. Pure Gluttony
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat the Explosive Bug
Hidden Condition:
-Let 10 or more small bugs get absorbed.
Strategy:
Once again, just defend or protect yourself until 10 bugs are absorbed, then
blast them away.
4. Two Eyeballs
Battle Conditions:
-Win within 10 turns
-Defeat the Evil Eye
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat at least 5 White Dogs
Strategy:
Kill a dog every round, and the Eye will call one in. After defeating 5,
destroy the Eye.
5. Puppet Master
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat the Puppet Master
-Spare the Controlled One
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat the Puppet Master within 3 turns
Strategy:
The puppet master is protected using the GC wall, but just go all out on it.
You have to kill it in 3 turns anyway.
----------------
Middle Class
----------------
1. Poor Little Kelolon!
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all the Wild Balls
-Don’t defeat the Kelolon Papa
Hidden Condition:
-Save both the Papa and Mama
Strategy:
So don’t let the Mama or Papa Kelolon die, and just take out the balls in a
turn or two. Fairly simple.
2. Art of Inner Sight
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all Enemies
-Dark Status
-Seal Status
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat King Owl first
Strategy:
Make sure your party has anti-poison equipped for this battle. Have everyone
target the Owl to take him down first, then work on the others. Remember, you
can’t use magic, but skills are fine.
3. The Mantalas’ Return!
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat the Mantalas
Hidden Condition:
-Don’t let anyone get defeated.
Strategy: Use your strongest party members, those who won’t die easily. Take
down the Manta using Grond and high physical attacks.
4. Against All Odds
Battle Conditions:
-Tolten Only
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Don’t use items or spells
Strategy:
You can still use skills, so use Power Hit or any other good attacks, or just
plain attack if your Tolten is strong enough.
5. Fireworks Night
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Let all enemies self-destruct within 2 turns
Strategy:
Have a caster use All-Flare. Simple!
---------------
Heavy Class
---------------
1. Meat Eaters
Battle Conditions:
-Up to 3 PC’s
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Kill the raptor leader
Strategy:
Kill all enemies except one. It will cry and summon more monsters. Repeat this
process until the Leader appears, and kill him and the other.
2. A Germ of Annoyance
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all enemies
-Poison status
-Dizzy status
-Seal status
Hidden Condition:
-Front row PC’s must not be defeated.
Strategy:
This is a tricky one. To make it easier, make your party members have
Persistence on. Just keep attacking and hope that you hit the frogs first.
3. Shared Frontline
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat Eastern Sage
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat 15 Doll Queens
Strategy:
Keep kill the Dolls as they appear, and once you’ve killed 15, kill the Sage!
4. Enter Kelolon Commander!
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat the Kelolon Brigade Leader first
Strategy:
Kill the leader, then his minions. This should be an easy battle if you are
fairly leveled up.
5. Absence of immortals
Battle Conditions:
-Jansen required
-Cooke required
-Mack required
-Tolten required
-Sed required
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Do not use any skills
Strategy:
Attack with Sed, Tolten and Mack, and use black magic/spirit magic with Jansen
and Cooke. You cannot use skills, but with the right rings you should be fine.
You can also use magic, so have fun :)
-----------------------
Super Heavy Class
-----------------------
1. Ah, Fireworks Forever!
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Don’t let anyone get defeated
Strategy:
Make sure your party is equipped with anti-poison, and go to town. Use your
most powerful stuff to quickly end the battle.
2. Master Ring User
Battle Conditions:
-Kaim required
-Skills not allowed
-Spells not allowed
-Items not allowed
-Defeat Veteran Soldier
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat the Dog
Strategy:
Ok, one of the most tedious battles. First off, you can use more than Kaim.
Secondly, equip someone with a ring that has Toxin 3 on it. Now, when you start
the battle, have everyone defend except the one with the Toxin ring. Have this
person target the dog, and get a Perfect. The dog will die in 4 turns. Now have
two people every round do what the guard says. When the dog dies, all hell
breaks loose. The guard will use Coverus, Shiledus, Powerus, Faster and attack
you hard. To make this battle easier, have Absorb Attack, Weapon Guard 2,
Evade, Counter all equipped to your party members. Keep whittling him down, and
you’ll eventually defeat him.
3. Manny Fever
Battle Conditions:
-Win within 10 turns
-Defeat all enemies
-3+ successful Coin Tosses
Hidden Condition:
-Have 10+ successful Coin Tosses
Strategy:
This one can be based on Luck, but it’s pretty easy. Have your casters cast
All-Flare every turn, and you physical attackers use Slot Hit every turn.
You’ll get the 10 good coin tosses in no time. It's also a good idea to *not*
be a super high level for this one, as All-Flare might kill them easily. By
super high level, I mean 85+
4. Kelolon Battalion Head
Battle Conditions:
-Defeat all enemies
Hidden Condition:
-Defeat the Silver Kelolon before it runs away
Strategy:
To kill the Silver Kelolon before it flees, simply use Casting Support +
Gamble. He actually doesn't flee half of the time, at least he hasn't
whenever I battle him. After killing him defeat the others.
-----------------
The Immortal
-----------------
This is the last Backyard battle, and is only accessible when you have 3 stars
on every other battle.
Now then, this thing has 175,000 HP! The best way to beat it is to use the
magic Divide and Reversa. Divide deals damage equal to your HP, while Reversa
deals damage equal to your lost HP. For the first turn or two, use Divide. You
can cast Complete Defense/Coverus on them so they can cast it for a few turns.
Then, when he uses Cube, which takes your HP down really low, switch to
Reversa. Watch out for his Shadowus attacks, as he can do three in a row
sometimes. Designate one party member to be the Support/Healing PC, keeping the
others alive/out of harm’s way.
Now remember, the hidden condition is you have to beat this guy in less than
30 turns, and by using my strategy you should have no problem :)
For beating the Immortal, you’ll receive an accessory that teaches the Skill
Absorb all Elements.

---------------------- ------------------
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 9. Hidden Bosses [HDBS] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
---------------------- ------------------
*******************************************************************
Lost Odyssey features some optional and hidden bosses. Some may even be as hard
as the final boss in the main game. Here are the locations and strategies of
these hidden bosses.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I. Blue Dragon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Blue Dragon is located at the Snowfields of the Northern Land. The path to
this boss is against the blue things (so follow where they are coming from).
HP: 9,350
The first thing you should know is that Blue Dragon absorbs all elemental
spells. Power up Kaim and seth, and, depending on your fifth party member,
either cast All-Barricada/us or attack. After Kaim and Seth are powered up, use
your casters to either cast Gamble, Shadowus, or just support the others. After
the battle, you'll recieve the Water Proof accessory and the spell Leveler.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< II. Cave Worm >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Cave Worm is located in the Forgotten Cave, where Seth was locked up.
You'll find the boss to the north-east, up a few slopes.
HP: 10,180
It's wise not to use Physical attacks in this battle. Stick to high level magic,
and make sure to support your party. It's best to have the Anti-All Ailment
skill equipped, because this guy's breath will deal anything and everything!
If you went after Blue Dragon first, use Leveler on this boss. As long as you
are immune to ailments, Cave Worm is pretty easy.
After the battle youll receive the Gravity Rave and Gravity Ring, as well as
the Aneira Plume accessory.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< III. Ghost of Eastern Ruins >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This boss is located at the top of the Temple of Enlightenment.
First take out the Obsedian he summons. Use Forceus on it until it dies. Next
two mages will be cummoned. You'll have to defeat these guys before you take
down the real boss. This part is tricky. Use Double-Cast Leveler with all
casters. You'll have to take them both down in one turn, or the living one
will revive the other. After taking down those punks, it's time to take on
the Ghost himself. Double cast Forceus and use your physical attackers
to take him down quickly.
After the battle, make sure to pick up Mack's Ultimate Weapon (Phoenix Discus
and Ring, a Slot Seed, and the Spirit Spell Self Sacrifice.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< IV. Golden Knight >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You can only battle this boss after breaking all the Royal Seals around
the world. Check the side-quest part of this guide for their locations.
After you break the seals, head to Uhra's Palace Square. Head east, and into
the palace. Make your way to the elevator on the left. Walk over to the Seal
to the north, and the battle begins. The Knight turns out to be the First
King of Uhra, and he wants to test Tolten.
You'll only get to use Tolten, but this battle is extremely easy. Do as he
says. When he gives you Ultimate Hit, use it on him, and the battle ends.
You'll recieve the skill Ultimate Hit and Tolten's Age of the King weapon.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< V. Holy Beast >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The Holy Beast is located in Numara Atoll. To summon this boss, you'll
need Ming's Harp. Check out the room on the White Boa where the harp is
located, and Ming will talk about it. Now enter Numara Atoll, and the
Beast will be summoned.
HP: 14,020
The easiest way to win this battle is with Groundus Bombs. These can be
bought at the shop under the bridge in Numara. Have everyone use them
with Double Item, and the battle will end quickly.
If you are out of money, or want to beat him with honor, then here's a
different strategy:
First off, the only physical attacks that can harm this boss are Sed's
gun shots. Have your casters use Groundus. As for the physical attackers,
either leave them out of the battle, or let them use Spells. After a
number of turns, the boss will stop attackng and charge. When he's done
charging, he'll unlease a devestating attack that deals 9999 damage to
everyone, so defeat him befre this! Also, a great skill to have on this
battle is Absorb Magic.
You'll get the 1000 year accessory for beating the Holy Beast, which adds
10 skill slots!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VI. King Kelolon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This boss is located in Kelolon Village.
Make sure that Cooke is leveled up, because you'll have to use her
exclusively. Join the tournament here, and battle through the kelolons.
Use a combination of Coverus/Powerus/attack to dominate your opponents.
Hp: 11,340
Once you get to the King, you can rest easy. He really is pretty weak.
He'll use White Magic all the time, especially Coverus. So use Powerus
on your physical attackers and tear through his Cover. Do this over and
over until the battle is over.
For beating the King you'll get the Spell Divide.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VII. Persona >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Persona is located in the Sorceresses' Mansion, in the room where you
saved Sarah. Persona won't appear unless you've collected all the
Poem Fragments in the mansion.
HP: 12,780
Make sure your party members have Anti-Petrify equipped. Just look at
the boss, it looks like Medusa!Persona will always be weak to either
physical attacks or spells, and immune to the other. The bad thing is
that Persona will switch what it's weak to, so you have to use both
Physical attacks and Spells every turn.
You'll get Sarah's Notebook for beating Persona.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 14. Tips and Tricks [TRCK] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
---------------------- -----------------
********************************************************************
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I. Where to Level Up >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
While it’s true that Lost Odyssey makes grinding non-existent, there are a few
places where you can gain a level pre battle up to a certain point.
The first place is Numara Atoll. You gain access here on Disc 2, near Numara.
There is an enemy here called the Hellshaker. If you can beat him, you’ll gain
one level per battle until you are around level 45. Also, in this same area,
there are enemies named Silver Kelolons. They flee from battle, but if you can
cast Gamble on them, you'll take em down easily. Since they flee fast when you
are a lower level, use Kaim and Seth to use Casting Support on your casters,
and have them use Gamble.
The next place to level up is in Gongora’s Secret Lab. This is located
underneath his mansion, and you’ll need Tolten to break the Royal Seal in his
courtyard. In this place, you’ll go against a bunch of Experimentals every
battle, and they’ll give you a level each battle or every other battle until
you are around level 55. Gamble is found in Tosca Village, for completing the
Kelolon mini-game.
After level 55, the next best place is the Temple of Enlightenment. You’ll gain
a level every battle until your party is at around level 70.
After level 70, search out Hellish Kelolons in the Temple of Enlightenment. No
matter what level you are, beating on of these will gain you a level.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< II. Where to gain SP >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The absolute best place to gain SP is Numara Atoll. Fighting against one silver
Kelolon will net you 8 SP per battle. If you use Sed’s Skill Double SP, that’s
16 SP per battle. And if you beat two Silver Kelolons in one battle, you’ll
gain 32 SP for that one battle! To beat the Silver Kelolons, you’ll have to use
the spell Gamble (found in Tosca Village). If you can’t cast fast enough, and
they flee, use Casting Support on your casters. After your party gets to a
certan level (around 70), these guys will be a walk in the park. You'll even
be able to attack them regulary sometimes.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< III. Barricadus/Shieldus >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
These two spells CAN be missed in Lost Odyssey. If you do not buy them from the
store at Gohtza when you first arrive, and you don’t grab them from your visit
to Experimental Staff, you’ll miss them forever. They do not show up in the
Auction House, and they are not found anywhere else. Make sure to grab them
before it’s too late.I advise to buy them at Gohtza before moving on, just to
be sure. And these two spells DO count towards the Spell Achievement.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< IV. Character Evaluations >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
There’s really no point in evaluating the immortals, as they kick ass and are
the best characters in your party. Any party without them is lacking full
power.
Jansen - He’s really good the first and part of the second disc. You'll need
him to beat the first couple bosses. He learns Black Magic fast, and 2
Accessories fairly fast. He is a fairly slow caster however. He usually is last
in performing, and some spells take more than one turn. Make sure you know this
while using him, and if possible, use pre-emptive tactics when casting spells.
Also, his White Magic only goes up to Level 2, but you can equip the Level 8
White Magic accessory, since you have 2 Accessory saces with Janson (after he
learns that skill).
Sed - I love this guy. He’s got great skills - 3 Accessories, Special
Accessories, Double EXP, Double SP, Double Item. His physical attacks are
powerful (not as powerful as the immortals of course), especially with his
ultimate weapon, the Magic Aniera Rifle. I would advise keeping Sed in the
back row of your battle formation, as his HP won't be as great as the others
if you are using immortals. With him able to use 2 items per turn, and have
3 accessories equipped, Sed can really turn a battle around.
Tolten - Tolten has very nice skills, and really cool weapons. But other than
that, he’s lacking. His attack is lower, and he's slower than Sed. Golden Boy's
equipment is pretty cool, especially his ultimate weapon. it's the most
powerful weapon in the game. But in reality, even with that weapon, Tolten
really cannot compete with the others. Sap his skills from him, and give Kaim
his best weapon via the skill Royal Equipment, and be done with him.
Cooke - Cooke is a pretty fast caster. She is basically a healing machine, and
does it fast. If you equip her with some Spirit Magic accessories, she can
really be a Support Powerhouse. When you first get her, you'll be best off
by skill linking her Casting Support skill to the immortals, as it comes in
handy during plenty of battles (especially against Silve Kelolons in Numara
Atoll).
Mack - He’s like a god in Disc 3 if you’ve been training him. He’s fast and
hits hard, especially with Combo/3 Combo, Power Hit, etc. After Disc 3 however,
I’d toss him aside after you learn his skills. His attack is pretty meger
compared to Sed's, and it's safe to say he's the Red Mage of Lost Odyssey.
He's able to attack and use magic, but both are not to their fullest.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< V. Free HP/MP Replenish >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
There's two ways to replenish your HP and MP without using items or resting at
an inn. The first way is to exit to the World Map. Every time you do, you'll
automatically have your HP/MP replenished.
The second way it the Save and Quit, and then load your save. Everytime you
load a save, your HP/MP is replensihed as well. :)
Make a note of these in your mind, beause even though Gold is plentiful in
this game, you might need those items during a heated battle coming up.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< VI. Free 40,000 G >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Once you get to Gohtza's Low Town, you can get a free 40,000 G! Head to the
broken down apartment, and to the Casino. Talk to the man on the right side
of the table, and he'll ask for a loan. Give him 1000 G. Now leave and come
back. Do this another 9 times, for a total of 10,000 G loaned, and when you
exit and come back the man will say he won big and give you 50,000 G. You
can only do this once however, as the next time you talk to him he says he
lost it all on one gamble. :/
Make sure to give him 1000 each time also, because you can only do this
side-quest once, and the amount you get back depends on how much you loan
him. You'll recieve five times the amount you give.
