Captain Spirit Garage Key: How to Unlock the Garage

While it’s only a few hours long, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit can still throw a few curveballs and headscratchers your way. However, the Captain Spirit garage key really isn’t one of them. In fact, you’ve probably walked past it a few times without even noticing. Unfortunately, it’s easy-to-miss and can result in you missing out on one of the superhero tasks in the Life is Strange spinoff, so here’s how to get your hands on it.

Where to Find the Garage Key in Captain Spirit

To make things straightforward, we’ll assume your starting position is Chris’ poster-adorned bedroom. From there, head straight out of the room, go immediately left then right into the open-plan kitchen.

The garage key is almost in touching distance. Go to the white back door (on the far side of the room on the right-hand side) and, to the left of the door, will be a garage key hanging up. Interact with it to get it in your possession. For the avoidance of doubt, Chris will say ‘Mine!’ and a key will pop up in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

How to Unlock the Garage in Captain Spirit

Now what? Once you’ve solved the conundrum of the Captain Spirit garage key, you’re going to want to see what the garage has in store for you, right? Leave the house via the door in the kitchen and trudge in the snow over to the small wooded building opposite the house. You can’t miss it. You can then use the garage key to unlock the door.

What’s Inside the Garage in Captain Spirit?

Aside from optional content bulking out the game’s world and Chris’ past, there is also an item needed to beat the Snowmancer, one of Chris’ imaginary foes. In the garage you’ll find a firecracker. Be sure to pick that up and you’re good to go.
