Lindsay Wagner Death Stranding: Who Is The Woman in the E3 2018 Trailer?

As is Hideo Kojima’s wont, Death Stranding utterly bewildered and bewitched in equal measure with its new gameplay trailer at the Sony conference during E3 2018. We got another big helping of Norman Reedus, plus a few new fresh faces. There was even someone you probably recognised but couldn’t quite put your finger on: Yep, that was Lindsay Wagner’s Death Stranding debut.

Lindsay Wagner Death Stranding: Who Is The Woman in the E3 2018 Trailer?

Appearing during the closing seconds of the Death Stranding E3 2018 trailer, Lindsay Wagner is the woman seen on a deserted beach surrounded by animal carcasses as far as the eye can see. So far, so very cheery. For avoidance of doubt, she’s not the woman eating the mini-baby foetus towards the end of the trailer. Yeah, this is a weird game.

Perhaps best known for her turn as the Bionic Woman in the 1970s, Lindsay Wagner has also appeared in 1991 Denzel Washington movie Richochet.

Lindsay Wagner Death Stranding: Who is She Playing?

Like much of the content and story beats that have come out Death Stranding, we don’t really have a clue who Lindsay Wagner is playing in Death Stranding. Sure, we can have some guesses: the beach is similar to one Norman Reedus has been to in a previous trailer, plus her glassy-eyed look indicates something might be hiding beneath her facade, as is the case with half of this game, frankly. All we know for sure is she’s playing someone who… looks like Lindsay Wagner. Thank god for the uncanny valley.

Lindsay Wagner Death Stranding: Who Else is in Death Stranding?

Roll call: alongside Lindsay Wagner, in terms of big-name Hollywood stars, are Normal Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro and, as also revealed in the new E3 trailer, Lea Seydoux. That’s a whole lot of talent.
