Oh, you thought the festivities were over? Nope! The Overwatch Double XP Weekend will continue the celebrations of the second anniversary for the game. This weekend will mean double the experience gained for your heroes so it is a fantastic time to get in there and grind to your heart’s content.

The Overwatch Double XP Weekend means double the experience for doing just about everything in the game possible. We’ve got the full details on what that entails entirely, when the weekend officially starts, and when it will come to an unfortunate end. Let’s get started with the full details!

Overwatch Double XP Weekend Explained

The Overwatch Double XP Weekend consists of double the experience for just about every action possible. Here’s the list of what the in-game double experience will include:

  • Time spent in a match
  • Completing a match
  • Completing consecutive matches
  • Winning a match
  • Backfilling a match in progress
  • Earning medals

Really, the only thing that the Overwatch Double XP Weekend won’t include is the first win of the day bonus experience. Everyone will still get just 1500 xp for that accomplishment. This includes all players of the game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One so jump onto the platform of your choice and enjoy.

The Overwatch Double XP Weekend will stack with all existing group and IGR bonuses so feel free to use those up. The double experience weekend will be kicking off one June 8th, 2018 at 11:00 am PDT so adjust to your time accordingly. It will run through this E3 2018 kickoff weekend and end on Monday, June 11th, 2018 at 11:59 pm PDT.
