Fortnite LeBron James Jumpshot Basketball Skin Pays Homage to Cavaliers MVP

Hidden (not so) deeply within the latest Fortnite update game files were several upcoming basketball-themed skins, one of which hints at a potential Fortnite LeBron James skin based on the world-renowned ballstar. With Fortnite Season 4 being all about superheroes, I guess it’s not totally ludicrous for a Fortnite LeBron James to enter the game.

Fortnite LeBron James Skin: What Is the Fortnite Jumpshot Skin?

The Fortnite Jumpshot skin is what Epic Games has called the LeBron James basketball skin, according to the datamined files. Probably to avoid getting sued, Fortnite doesn’t explicitly name the skin after James. Instead, we’ve got to look at the skin’s similar appearance to make the connection. It’s pretty uncanny, though it would be cool to see the Fortnite LeBron James skin paired with a chalk emote!

The facial hair, tattoos, and uniform… It’s LeBron James, right?!

Fortnite LeBron James: Other Fortnite Basketball Skins and Emotes

In addition to the Fortnite LeBron James skin, other basketball-related items have been uncovered in the datamine.

Swap out the normal pickaxe for this crazy Fortnite Slam Dunk pickaxe skin. (I wonder if the netting will have physics properties, hmm!)

Fortnite LeBron James

The Fortnite Hang Time glider skin will give you more air than Michael Jordan in Space Jam. (Note: This skin won’t actually lengthen your glide time. It’s purely cosmetic!)

Fortnite LeBron James

The Fortnite Baller emote will have your character spin a ball on their finger. If you can’t do it in real life, at least your Fortnite character can!

Fortnite LeBron James

There’s no telling when the Fortnite LeBron James skin will be added to the game. In the past, datamined skins usually appear within a week or so. They pop up as featured items in the always-cycling Fortnite Store. Keep an eye on it and you’ll likely see Fortnite LeBron James pop up sooner, rather than later.
