Fortnite 4.3 Patch Notes: Shopping Carts, Challenge Progression and More Added

Epic Games has released the Fortnite 4.3 patch notes, giving us the lowdown on what the new Fortnite update adds and improves. The big features of the new patch include shopping carts, the ability for players to track their challenges, and more.

Fortnite 4.3 Patch Notes

The biggest change implemented by the Fortnite 4.3 patch is the addition of shopping carts. These are the first rideable objects in the game (excluding guided missiles!) and allow for up to two players to traverse the map at speed. When sitting in the passenger seat, it’s possible for the second player to shoot their weapon. The Fortnite shopping carts are scattered around the world in various locations. Players will want to be careful not to fall from a great height, as they will still take fall damage when riding in a shopping cart.

The new challenge progression tracking system is a quality-of-life fix that Fortnite Battle Pass owners will appreciate. Additional UI elements have been added to the HUD, giving players a better idea of how close they are to completing those crucial in-game challenges.

A new foraged item, mushrooms, have also been added with the 4.3 update. These grant 5 Shield, up to a maximum of 100. These can be found around shady wooded or swampy areas.

Two limited game modes have been introduced with the Fortnite 4.3 patch. The first is Blitz! V2, which comes with new weapons and items added, while the second is Teams of 20 V2, which now features five different buses!

Finally in our list of Fortnite 4.3 patch notes highlights, are the new optimizations that Epic Games has made to the game. While Fortnite already runs great across all systems, the reduced hitching on eliminations is definitely appreciated and should stop problems with “lag” during intense gunfights featuring multiple players.
