Fortnite 1.57

Fortnite 1.57 (3.6) Update Adds Clinger Item, Refund Function and More

Following the usual period of downtime that comes before a big patch, the Fortnite 1.57 update (or Fortnite 3.6 update on PC) became available for all users to download and install. The new Fortnite update implements a substantial number of fixes, while also adding new items for players to use in both Battle Royale and Save the World.

Fortnite 1.57 and Fortnite 3.6 Update Patch Notes

The highlights of the Fortnite 1.57 update are the refund system, adjustments to the minigun and the new Clinger item.

The new “Self-Service Cosmetic Returns” option allows players up to three refunds on paid-for cosmetic skins. Those players who really regret a purchase or three, can now get a refund to buy something else. There are some limitations on what can be returned, however, which are detailed below:

  • Will allow you to return up to 3 cosmetic purchases for V-Bucks (lifetime).
    • Only eligible purchases made within the past 30 days are able to be returned.
  • What can be returned?
    • Emotes
    • Gliders
    • Harvesting Tools
    • Back Bling
    • Outfits
  • What cannot be returned?
    • Battle Pass
    • Battle Pass Tiers
    • Starter Pack
    • Founder’s Pack
    • Founder’s Pack Upgrades
    • Loot Llamas (Save the World)
    • Event and Weekly Items (Save the World)

Significant buffs to the minigun include increased accuracy, decreased recoil and higher damage for both rarities. This should make it even more fun to use! The recently added Port-a-Fort item has also been tweaked to be easier to use.

The Clinger grenade is a pimped-out plunger which can be thrown and stuck to enemies. This new item can be found in Floor Loot, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas and Treasure Chests in both Battle Royale and Save the World.

The Fortnite Noble Launcher makes its way exclusively to Save the World, which is an electrically charged launcher. The longer it is the charged for, the bigger the attack!
