And now for something completly different, gamewise that is. Eternal Sonata
strayes from the path of a traditional RPG and offers up a little mix-n-match.
While there is your normal turn based battles, they also add strategy and real

Welcome to the world of Eternal Sonata. Begin your adventure on the path to
Tenuto: South. Head to your left and check the sign to find where Tenuto
Village is. Continue up the path to find a man. He will teach you about
battles, or you can just engage in one with the enemy hopping around to find
out yourself. Defeat the enemy and locate the chest just above it, it contains
a PEACH COOKIE. Continue on up the path and defeat the next enemy you see here.
Take the right path at the fork and open the chest at the end to find a PEACH
COOKIE. Now take the left path over the bridge into the next section.
In the Northern section, run ahead and defeat the enemy jumping in front of the
flag. You can examine to the left of the flag to get a little text. Head to the
right past the rock and cross the bridge. Defeat the next enemy you see. Head
under the arch and hang right to find a chest with an ANGEL TRUMPET. Now
continue to follow the path left and defeat the enemies before you. After the
fights, continue North into Tenuto Village.

Tenuto Village, hometown of Polka. As you enter, head left and across the
bridge and then go straight ahead past the stable into the big house with the
green door. Enter the house and go left into Polka's room. Examine the potted
plant in the corner to find ANGEL TRUMPET. Now leave her house. Just after
leaving, before moving down, hold left to find a little hidden entrance.
Continue a little bit left until you find a tombstone looking thing with a dog
on it. Examine it to hear a dog bark. I'm not sure what the point of it is yet,
but remember it for future use. Now go back and this time to left of the stable
you passed before and enter that house there. Go up and examine the bed in the
back to hear another dog bark. Now leave the house. Follow the path to the left
of Polka's house to the Flower Field.
Enter the field and cross the bridge. Examine the inside of the shed to find
FLORAL POWDER. Now go all the way to the back of the fields and examine the
orange rock thing, you will find a SCORE PIECE. You can talk to the girls if
you want, but leave the fields when you are ready. Now go down and talk to the
NPC named Gentlemanly Pop. Play a session and use the piece you just found. You
will recieve an A rank and with it a LION'S MANE.
Now go across the bridge again and up the stairs. Enter the house here. Examine
the shelves next to the pot to find a SCORE PIECE. Exit the house now. There
have been questions about who to use this piece with, but I found that it is
just showing the different ranks you can get when you use a piece with someone
it does not go with. But anyways, when you are ready, proceed to the northern
exit to Heaven's Mirror Forest.

Enter and follow the path north through the circle thing. The man here will
teach you more combat techniques and such. Take the path to the VERY right and
fight the lone L'Opera Knight. Open the chest behind it to find a POISON
WHITECAP. Now take the path closest to the man and continue up into the next
section.
Continue on ahead. As soon as you climb the little flight of stairs, make a
sharp left and defeat the Knight and open the chest to find an ANGEL TRUMPET.
Go back to the main path and continue North. When you come to the fork, defeat
the Knight, then make a right and go up the stairs into the next section.
Here, go up the stairs and defeat the Knight. Keep going and defeat the next
one. After, go left and follow the path. Fight this next Knight, then go down
the stairs and open the chest at the end for a POSION WHITECAP. Head back to
the main path and backtrack a little. Make a right when you can and head up the
stairs and defeat the Knight here. Open the chest behind it for a PEACH COOKIE.
Head back to the main path and continue forward into the next section.
Go straight here and follow the bend, open the chest for a COPPER NECKLACE. I
would equip this on either Beat or Allegretto. Go back to the main section and
follow the path up to the left. Defeat the Knight and go up the stairs, make a
right and defeat the Knight here. Go back left and follow it to the top and
into the next section.

| Bosses in this game aren't too hard, but that doesn't mean they aren't too |
| easy either. Make sure your party is level 4, or at least 3. The Boar will |
| be the first to act and will charge ahead. His attacks can be blocked with |
| ease, but try not to group your characters together. Beat should always be |
| with a little range, and Allegretto and Polka should be on opposite sides |
| of the Boar. He will either use an area attack that does little damage, or |
| a single or combo attack. His charge attack can do mid to high damage if |
| not blocked. Just keep healing, retreat if you have to, but stay on the |
| attack and you will beat him. Void Edge with a 12 Echo or Fire Blase works |
| well against him. |
