Far Cry 5 Prestige Weapons: What Are Prestige Weapons and How Much Do They Cost?

Far Cry 5 players who have played the game will know that the in-game stores sell Prestige weapons. The main difference between normal weapons and Prestige weapons is the weapon skin. They’re usually the same model or type of weapon, with a unique coat of paint.

Far Cry 5 Prestige Weapons: What Makes Them Different?

For example, a normal Shovel in the game is basically just a shovel with no decorations. However, a Prestige weapon Shovel is adorned with orange paint and a smiley face, making it look even wackier when impaling enemies with it in the game.

Players will be glad to know that Prestige weapons are purely cosmetic in nature, with no added buffs or special attributes. Ubisoft technically meant it when they said there won’t be microtransactions. Players won’t have to worry about purchasing these Prestige weapons since they provide no advantages, other than being decorated with unique aesthetics.

Far Cry 5 Prestige Weapons: How much do they cost?

Players can buy Prestige weapons with the in-game money they receive from completing side missions, looting bodies and hitting Prepper Stashes. They can also buy Prestige weapons using real money to obtain Silver, with the prices of most Prestige weapons ranging from 200 and 500 Silver. 500 is the lowest amount of Silver that can be bought for £3.99/$4.99, with up to 7250 Silver purchasable at £39.99/$49.99.

It’s important to note that not all Prestige weapons are unlocked right away. Players will need to complete certain side missions and loot certain Prepper Stashes before some Prestige weapons can be unlocked.
