Ni no Kuni 2 Multiplayer: Is There Multiplayer for Ni no Kuni 2?

With massive JRPG’s like Final Fantasy XV supporting its huge community with constant multiplayer updates, many gamers are wondering if there is Ni no Kuni 2 multiplayer. This sequel to the beloved classic on PS3 is bigger than ever before. With the switch to action-based combat, it certainly opens the door for multiplayer.

Switching from turn-based to real-time action isn’t the only major change, as there is now a huge kingdom building mechanic that is totally like another game in and of itself (check out our review for more info on that).  There are a ton of other new features that lend themselves well to Ni no Kuni 2 multiplayer. So does it exist?

Is There Ni no Kuni 2 Multiplayer?

The action combat would work nicely in a multiplayer setting like allowing players to join together in parties of three with other players online and tackle some of the game’s optional bosses in a hard mode setting would be great. Even better still, we think that turning the kingdom building mechanic into an asynchronous Ni no Kuni 2 multiplayer mode would work wonders.

Having two kingdoms go up against each other in combat would be fantastic and a great way to extend the time you can spend with the game. Despite these great ideas, we can, unfortunately, reveal that there is no Ni no Kuni 2 multiplayer as of right now. While that could change in the future with DLC, we doubt that it will.

For better or for worse, there is no Ni no Kuni 2 multiplayer currently and we fully expect it to stay that way. However, we do see room for potential mobile versions of the kingdom building feature popping up on phones and tablets, but that would be separate from the main game. Sorry, but no Ni no Kuni 2 multiplayer for you.
