Shadow of the Colossus Endings: Is There an Alternate Ending to the Game?

Shadow of the Colossus PS4

Being that this is a remake, it can give hope that there is alternate Shadow of the Colossus endings, but we regret to inform you that this is not the case. Bluepoint, the developer behind the remake, has made it clear that it intends to keep it true to the original.

This means no new content and, yes, no new Shadow of the Colossus endings. However, there was a brief glimpse of an alternate ending to the game that was revealed a few years back when it came to PS3 in HD. Though just rough storyboard sketches, it can give you an idea of what could have been. You can take a look at it on Kotaku.

Though there are no new Shadow of the Colossus endings, the game is more beautiful and fully-realized than ever before. You can take a look at the remake of the ending and final boss here on YouTube. Check out our glowing review here and keep it locked for more guides.
