Xenoblade Chronicles 2 How Long to Beat How Many Chapters

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: How Many Chapters and How Long to Beat

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is divided into chapters and takes a while to beat. There were several times I was on a chapter for so long I forgot that the game was broken into that structure. The time needed to complete Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will vary wildly from person to person. There’s so many side quests and optional content that if you’re looking to 100% complete it then you’re going to be looking at a considerable time investment.

Below we’ll tell you how many chapters Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has, and how long it’ll take for you to beat it.

How Many Chapters are in Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is broken into 10 chapters. Unlike a lot of games though, these chapters are long and don’t be surprised if you’re passing the 45-hour mark when you’re still in chapter 4.

While not all chapters are incredibly long, the first four chapters could constitute a whole game themselves. As you play Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the chapters start getting shorter, but there’s still a lot of content packed into each one.

How Long Does it Take to Beat Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Completion times for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are going to vary wildly. It’s one of those games that has so much content, some of it very obscure or difficult to complete. If you’re looking to beat just the main story and run straight through the game, you could do it in about 45-50 hours.

However, if you’re interested in side quests, collecting Blades, and taking down unique monsters, you’re going to have to invest a lot more time. The average player, who completes the main quest, does some grinding and completes a good chunk of side content, will probably spend around 80 hours playing before the credits roll.

For completionists though, this game is similar to Skyrim or Oblivion in scale. You’ll likely spend around 120 hours if you want to explore everywhere, complete every side quest, and collect every unique item.
