Star Wars Battlefront 2 Weapons Guide: How to Quickly Unlock All Weapons for Every Class in Multiplayer

In Star Wars Battlefront 2, your weapon is key to success in multiplayer. It’s how you shoot and take down enemies majority of the time, so it’s imperative that you have access to all weapons available for your preferred class. All four main trooper classes – Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist – have four weapons to choose from.

Right from the start, you have the first of the four weapons for each class unlocked. This means that you only have to unlock three for the classes you play (unless you play all of them). This can become a tiresome and repetitive process, but we’re going to show you how to do it the quickest.

Though it is a lengthy process of how to unlock all weapons in multiplayer, it is a simple one that is the same across all four classes. No matter which of the four classes you choose to play as, all you have to do is amass a certain amount of kills using that specific class.

Now, there are some classes that fare better at gaining kills, such as the Assault and Heavy classes, but time and dedication make this less intimidating to accomplish. You have three weapons to unlock for each class, and as such, have three tiers of kills that you must complete; one for each gun. These are the three kill milestones for each class:

  • Kill 50 enemies with your preferred class
  • Kill 200 enemies with your preferred class
  • Kill 500 enemies with your preferred class

The first Star Wars Battlefront 2 milestone of 50 enemies isn’t so challenging, but it immediately jumps to 200 afterwards. Unfortunately, some of the best guns in the game are locked behind the third tier of kills, so it is worth aiming to collect them all. Obviously, you get kills naturally by just playing that class, but there are certain game modes you should grind if you want to do it the fastest.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

The first of these is Galactic Assault. It is the largest of all Star Wars Battlefront 2 game modes, hosting huge 20 versus 20 matches as one team attacks and the other defends. Being that there are the most potential kills at any one time on the battlefield compared to the other match types, you have better chances of increasing your kill count.

However, there are some drawbacks to Galactic Assault, most from the fact that it does have its downtime. One multiplayer mode makes the process faster and easier, and that’s Blast. In this, two teams compete against each other with the only objective being essentially gaining 100 kills before your opposing team does.

It is a closer quarters mode that focuses solely on shooting your opponent down. It is frenetic and fast-paced, guaranteed to get you the most kills per match. In fact, our first match of Blast netted us more than half the kills needed for the first milestone of 50 kills. Grinding a few of these matches at a time can bump you to the coveted final tier of 500 kills in roughly 5 hours of gametime.
