Call of Duty WW2 Zombies Easter Egg Guide: How to Defeat Panzermorder and Unlock Fireworks Achievement in COD WW2

From the inception of Zombies mode in COD: World at War, it has been an integral part of what is a COD game alongside the traditional singleplayer campaign and online multiplayer. Call of Duty WW2 Zombies brings it back to its Nazi roots, as you take on the Nazi Zombies horde in an alternate history of our own.

Just like previous games, Call of Duty WW2 Zombies has its fair share of secrets and Easter Eggs to discover. After you complete the story-driven prologue with Marie, you will unlock The Final Reich map where the main Nazi Zombies storyline takes place. The Final Reich’s biggest Easter Egg secret is the Panzermorder boss fight quest that also unlocks the Fireworks achievement.

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies

Though you could theoretically play COD WW2 Zombies by yourself or with friends simply for the pure joy of seeing how many waves you can last, there is an actual story that you can resolve through the Panzermorder Easter Egg. This Easter Egg unlocks a secret final Nazi Zombies boss, story cutscene, and even the Fireworks achievement/trophy. Here is how to unlock the quest for the Panzermorder in The Final Reich:

  • Before you can even begin the main quest to unlock Panzermorder, you must first turn all three of the valves and turn on the pilot light in the starting village
  • From there, activate the generator located in the sewers
  • Then you have to unlock the Command bunker door
  • Activate the strange machine and switches in the Morgue and Laboratory
  • From there, you must active the Disposal Tube system in the sewers
  • Then you must travel through all three tubes and unlock the weapon upgrade station

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies Easter Egg Guide: How to Charge Up the Transfer Device

  • With all of that done, we can begin the main quest. First, gather up enough points to go into the Salt Mines
  • From there, unlock the Emperor’s Chamber door
  • Investigate the strange sword stuck in the machine
  • Kill around a dozen Nazi zombies there to charge up the machine and make the entire room glow reddish orange
  • Go back to the Command room and turn the crank there
  • Then press the big red button in the upper area to start the transfer device
  • Follow along with the transfer device and if it stops, kill Nazi zombies in the red area by it to charge it back up

  • Once the transfer device reaches the generator, collect the first piece of the Tesla Gun
  • Wait for the transfer device to start moving to the Morgue. Follow it there using the same tactics as before to collect the second half
  • Escort the device now back to Command
  • Upon arrival, you will face the boss Brenner
  • Quickly defeat him (while remembering his head’s location for later part) by first shooting the gas tanks on his back
  • Craft the Tesla Gun and collect it

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies Easter Egg Guide: How to Complete the Right Hand of God

  • Journey back to the Emperor’s Chamber you unlocked earlier and interact with the Right Hand of God
  • Interact with the fuse box to see a random set of four colors
  • Memorize or screenshot the four colors and which number – 1, 2, 3, 4 – Power Station they are assigned to
  • You must change each Power Station to match their correct colors in one minute. Power Station one is to the right of the colors panel
  • Number two is in the Sewers somewhat near the Morgue
  • Number three is in the Riverside tunnel in the Sewers past the upgrade station
  • Number four is near the Pub and outside of the Tower Gate
  • Go to the base of the Tower and interact with the lever there to power up the lightning rods
  • You must defend all of the rods as they power up which takes several minutes

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies Easter Egg Guide: How to Complete the Left Hand of God

  • Return to the Emperor’s Chamber and interact with the Left Hand of God
  • Go back to the surface of The Final Reich and look up at the Nazi Zeppelin that appears
  • Have you and your team shoot at the same glowing weak spot until it drops a generator
  • Go to the generator on the map and kill zombies in that area to charge it up. Takes around 30 to do so
  • Collect the battery that drops from the generator (which does slow you down and makes unable to fight) and place it in the Right Hand of God
  • Return to the surface once again and wait for the airship to return, then attack a different glowing weak spot to make it drop another generator
  • Find it, charge it, and place the battery it drops in the Left Hand of God
  • Return to the surface, wait for the airship, and shoot the glowing weak spot again
  • It will trick you into thinking it dropped but it didn’t so shoot the weak spot one last time
  • Find the third generator, charge it, and place it in the third pedestal in the Emperor’s Chamber

COD WW2 Zombies Easter Egg Guide: How to Complete the Voice of God

  • Return to Command and finally pick up the fallen Brenner’s head where you killed him
  • Now, you must “aim down your sights” like you would do with a weapon to examine the four strange paintings in the village to complete the randomly generated combination
  • Examine the first painting on the wall in the Pub and memorize or screenshot the Eagle’s direction and the Roman numeral
  • Do the same for the painting in the Courtyard
  • Once more for the painting in the Catacombs
  • Finally, examine the last painting in the Morgue
  • Input the correct combination into the Voice of God
  • Charge up the hilt by shooting it with the Tesla Gun and then collect it to trigger the Panzermorder fight

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies Easter Egg Guide: How to Defeat Panzermorder and Unlock the Fireworks Achievement

Call of Duty WW2 Zombies

This boss fight in The Final Reich is rather difficult, so don’t even bother trying to fight him the conventional way. In fact, avoid him as much as possible (we recommend having one person dedicated to distracting Panzermorder) while the other team members complete these steps to defeat him once and for all:

  • Shoot the weak spots on the airship that has returned to the sky
  • Charge up the batteries it drops by killing zombies near it
  • Shoot the Panzermorder to stun it and place the battery on its body
  • Survive until the airship returns
  • Shoot the airship, charge the battery, stun Panzermorder, and place the battery on him again
  • Rinse and repeat like before except, once again, the airship will trick you so you must shoot the glowing weak spot twice in a row
  • Place the final battery on the stunned Panzermorder to defeat him and complete Call of Duty WW2 Zombies
  • Watch the final cutscene and you will unlock the Fireworks achievement. Congrats!
