How to Get the Mida Multi-Tool in Destiny 2

The Mida Multi-Tool may sound like something straight out of Mass Effect, but it’s actually a special Scout Rifle that made an appearance in the original Destiny. Destiny 2 also includes the weapon, and it’s now an Exotic Scout Rifle with several special perks. It can help you move quicker, and it’ll make your radar visible while you’re aiming down its sights. That way you won’t miss out on anyone who’s trying to take you out.

Because of its special abilities, it’s a rarer weapon to pick up. Destiny had you purchasing the Mida Multi-Tool by way of vendors or finding it via drops, but Destiny 2 requires you to complete an entire quest before it’s unlocked. But don’t worry, as it’s well worth going through all the trouble to obtain. You’ll be thanking your lucky stars that you have it later on. You’ll also be able to level up your Guardian in the process, so if you haven’t yet reached level 20 just yet, this quest will be useful in helping you get there.

How to Get the Mida Multi-Tool in Destiny 2

You’ll have to complete several prerequisites before you can access the Mida Multi-Tool. First off, your main objective is to finish the entire main story campaign. This means you also have to complete the EDZ quests after reaching level 20. This is an undertaking in itself, so it’s understandable if you don’t get to grabbing this weapon right away. But if you’re going to be playing the game anyway, you may as well finish up the story mode and EDZ missions first, then collect the Mida Mini-Tool as a quest reward. You’re almost halfway there. You’ll get the Mida Mini-Tool from the character Devrim Kay as a reward in the EDZ for completing the mission Enhance.

When you have the Mida Mini-Tool, the Legendary SMG, you’ll need to go to the Tower. Talk to Banshee-44 here, who will offer up a quest: Sight, Shoot, Repeat. This will require a Scout Rifle. Using your Scout Rifle, you need to take out any 50 enemies with precision shots, and then kill any 25 enemies without reloading. You can use any Scout Rifle you wish, but make sure you save four or five for the later step you’ll have to complete.

Once you’ve completed all of the above, go back to Banshee-44 to get the Under the Hood quest. From here, go ahead and dismantle five blue or purple Scout Rifles. When you’ve gotten this taken care of, go back to Banshee-44. He’ll assign you The Fall Will Kill You as a quest, so rack up the 50 airborne SMG kills you need to complete the mission. You must be in the air when you kill any enemy for this to count. Then head back to Banshee-44 one last time.

This time, you’ll be rewarded with the Mida Multi-Tool. You’ve fought long and hard for it, so enjoy using the powerful weapon that ups your speed and lets you peep the radar when aiming down sights. The Crucible players won’t know what hit them.
