Sold at $39.99, Fortnite is by no means an expensive game to get into.

However, the structure of the game’s loot has caused a stir among the community. Players learn early on that the best items, including schematics, aren’t obtained by treasure when completing missions. Instead, they are very low random drops.

Due to this, many players label the game as pay-to-win. Yes, you can earn most of the greatest items through hard work and time, but simply spending a few dollars through microtransactions can shortcut you to a result that makes your character much more powerful.
