Street Fighter 6 Lets You Customize Iconic ‘Here Comes a New Challenger’ Screen

Street Fighter 6 will let players customize the series’ iconic ‘Here comes a new challenger!’ screen. Players can change it as they see fit, by choosing and combining a number of different features such as character portraits, effects, and effect colors.

New Street Fighter 6 customization options revealed

The ‘Here comes a new challenger!’ screen has been seen in multiple Street Fighter games dating back to Street Fighter 2, indicating that the player is going to come up against a new opponent. For the first time ever, it will be fully customizable in Street Fighter 6.

The screen will be used for Street Fighter 6’s online component, with players able to mix and match a whole host of different images, effects, and characters. It is currently unclear how these different graphics will be obtained by the player.

Street Fighter 6 closed beta invites were recently sent out by Capcom, though entries into the beta test were extremely limited, disappointing some players. The fighting game sequel is slated for a 2023 launch.
