Tell GR | What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Happy Thanksgiving from the Game Revolution team! In today’s Tell GR, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate what we’re thankful for this year. But we also want to hear from you — let us know what YOU are thankful for in the comments section below, and we’ll feature our favorite response in tomorrow’s Tell GR!

Paul Tamburro, executive editor: “I’m fortunate enough to have a lot to be thankful for. Friends, family, and this wonderful career — things aren’t always plain sailing, but I feel that I’m incredibly lucky in both my personal and professional life. I’m thankful for my team at Game Revolution, who constantly impress and surprise me with their passion and dedication to the site. 2020 is a super exciting time for both GR and the gaming industry as a whole, and I can’t wait for us to start making some huge moves next year!”

Jason Faulkner, senior editor: “I’m thankful for our team here at GR. Everyone works well together and raises each other up. It’s great to work somewhere you can care about and invest in without feeling like you’re gonna get burnt. I’m also thankful for a great season of games. There were a ton of great titles this fall and we’ve got quite a few amazing games to look forward as 2020 begins.”

Mack Ashworth, lead editor: “I’m thankful for this being yet another great year for video games. While some hotly-anticipated releases stumbled a little, there were many other shining stars that I’ve had the great pleasure of playing. I might complain about an ever-growing backlog of must-play games, but that certainly beats running out of things to play! Thanks to the developers and publishers that have pushed out some of the best games of this generation. Here’s to many more in 2020!”

Michael Leri, features editor: “I’m thankful to be in this industry. There are a lot of talented people on both sides of the fence and being able to be a part of it is something I don’t take for granted. Meeting developers always opens my eyes to the passion behind every game and talking to other press colleagues is usually humbling, even if it does set off my imposter syndrome like no other. Life is bigger than video games and 2019 was not kind to my personal life. However, I am always thankful to have games to get me over those humps as much as I am thankful for having a family that I care about enough to grieve.”

Question: What games are on your Christmas list?

Stove: “Nothing on my list as everything drops early next year. I was thinking about Death Stranding, but the reviews have scared me off. I have limited time these days, so ultra picky with my gaming.”
