GR at E3 2017: Day Three – Pirates of the Carabiner Wrap-Up

It’s been a long and crazy week. This Monday, the GameRevolution team met up in downtown Los Angeles to begin what would become another annual gaming extravaganza.

In the case of a few team members, it was not only their first show, but also their first time meeting one another in-person. So, a lot of preparation went on behind-the-scenes to make everything happen.

We would spend time writing together in our hotel room in LA Live every night after interviewing developers and playing their games for most of the day. A lot of jokes were had, versus arguments arose (don’t bring up Super Mario Sunshine around Griffin or Aron), and pounds of Chipotle were eaten.

In general, E3 2017 was good. There were some phenomenal games at the show, many of which were playable. Compared to previous years it was much more crowded, and missing the megaton Microsoft and Sony titles that we have gotten used to. Even then, there were plenty of compelling games demonstrated that ranged vastly in genre and style.

A big thank you to the rest of the team for working long hours to make sure we have comprehensive coverage to share with our readers. It’s amazing that despite having a smaller-sized staff, we’ve been able to publish more than 50 E3 articles over the span of just six days, most of which are full featured previews.

On that note, be sure to check out GameRevolution’s top 5 games of E3 2017, each of which have a written preview for you to read.

In the meantime, I’ll be busy playing Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood to bring you features and guides, and we’ll be hitting several other major releases in the coming weeks. Note that we still have a few previews to publish, so E3 coverage isn’t quite over yet.
