World of Warcraft Subscriber Numbers Surpass 10 Million

Thanks to the release of a new expansion, many gamers are jumping back onboard the World of Warcraft bandwagon, as Blizzard has announced that subscriber numbers for its super popular MMO have once again surpassed the 10 million mark.

According to internal data at the studio, the game's fifth expansion, dubbed Warlords of Draenor, has already sold over 3.3 million copies since it launched last week.

"We’re thrilled that so many players jumped in to play Warlords of Draenor on day one and are having a great time with the new content," Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime said. "We poured a lot of hard work and passion into this expansion, and we appreciate all the kind words from players and the overwhelming support they continue to show for World of Warcraft."

We're currently making our way through the expansion right now and should have a full review of Warlords of Draenor very soon.
