The Forza Motorsport franchise has been a mainstay at Xbox‘s yearly showcases, and this year will be no different, with Forza Motorsport gameplay set to be revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase.
What will Forza Motorsport 8 show off at the Xbox Games Showcase?
In a tweet that also served as the reveal of the upcoming game’s cover art, the Forza Motorsport Twitter account revealed that Forza Motorsport gameplay will be a part of Xbox’s upcoming showcase. As far as what to expect at the show, the tweet mentioned that fans will get “an up-close look at the cars.”
The Xbox Games Showcase is currently set to take place on June 11, 2023, and will begin at 1 p.m. ET. Aside from its appearance in the showcase, Forza Motorsport will also show off “a full walkthrough” of the game’s single-player career mode during the June 13, 2023 edition of Forza Monthly.
The upcoming Forza Motorsport — which shares its name with the original 2005 game that served as the first installment of the series — will serve as a reboot of sorts and drop the numbered names that the games have had in the past.
During its unveiling last year, Xbox targeted a spring 2023 release for the game, but in January’s Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct, the release window had been changed to a more unknown “2023.” From the looks of things, it seems like Xbox and Turn 10 Studios are still targeting a 2023 release for the game.
