Total War: Rome II Gets Emperor Edition for Free

Almost right on cue after the free content update for Divinity: Original Sin, Total War: Rome II has been upgraded to the Emperor Edition, the definitive version of the title, and all for free so long as you own the game. Otherwise, the game will cost the standard $59.95.

Including all of the updates and content that have arrived so far, improvements have been made to "the politics system and civil war mechanic" along with "an overhaul of the building chains, extensive rebalancing of the campaign as well as land and naval battles, an improved UI, tweaked and improved graphics and more." Whew! That's not even all that's been changed either, so if you want a full list, you head to the Wiki.

Armenia is now a new playable faction in the Grand Campaign and the Imperator August campaign that features the Roman Civil War where you can side with Augustus… or not.
