Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric Gets New gamescom 2014 Video

SEGA has issued a new Sonic Boom trailer in honor of the title's showing at gamescom 2014 where fans have a chance to get hands-on with the game and check out the franchise's new redesign.

I know a lot of folks reviled in horror at the thought that Sonic could get yet another new look, this time with a scarf, though I think SEGA has made a smart choice in going for a rebranding that allows the franchise to reach out to younger gamers who might enjoy watching a cartoon on Saturday morning as opposed to playing a game.

Sonic will always be around for a new game, right? Wii U owners can check out Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric on November 18th while Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will be available on Nintendo 3DS November 11th.
