Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Announced for 3DS

Nintendo unveiled a brand-new title for 3DS called Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. during a special event at E3 this evening.

The game is being developed by Intelligent Systems, the team that brought you Advance Wars and Fire Emblem, and like the studio's prior work, this new IP finds its home in the turn-based strategy genre. It's got a cartoonish, steampunk-like art style and is set in London during the "Age of Steam."

The basic premise of the game is that aliens have attacked the planet and in order to defend the world from the invasion, Abraham Lincoln has put together a team to fend them off. Sounds a bit wacky, but in that fun and intriguing sort of way.

We'll have plenty of additional information on this exciting new handheld title very soon, so be sure to stay tuned to GameRevolution for all the details.
