The creator of Minecraft revealed in a tweet today that he had been working on a deal to bring the game into full virtual reality with Oculus Rift, but that today's news about Facebook's purchase of the VR company has canceled those plans.

Follower's of Markus "Notch" Persson seemed to support the decision, but others have already pushed the developer to bring the project to Sony's Project Morpheus instead.
