Given the popularity of the map, many fans are asking “Will Verdansk Be in Warzone 2?” in the hopes that it will make a return in the next Call of Duty game. The Verdansk map has been praised by critics and streams to the point that many want Raven Software to bring it back for Season 5 before Warzone 2.0 arrives later in 2022. There’s surprisingly not a lot of information yet on Call of Duty: Warzone 2, though there have been map leaks for the upcoming battle royale game.
Will the Verdansk map be in Warzone 2?
There’s unfortunately no word yet on whether some version of Verdansk will be in the Warzone sequel. From what we know at the moment, it likely won’t be the first map in the upcoming game. As leaked in early June by known insider Tom Henderson, the map will have plenty of water along the southern border in part to show off Warzone 2’s improved mechanics for amphibious vehicles and swimming. As shown in a tweet posted below, several buildings like a Hydro Station and an Observatory serve as landmarks at the center of the area.

While the layout of the map is certainly different from Verdansk, the combination of a modern city, a quarry, and an airport offers several clear points of reference. They are all positioned somewhere else compared to their placement on Verdansk of course. That said, if this new map doesn’t play well enough, fans may start clamoring for Verdansk (or a revamped version of it) to make a comeback in Warzone 2.
In mid-December last year, the Caldera map replaced Verdansk in Warzone to mixed reviews. The arrival of Call of Duty: Vanguard forced the change, but caused a split in the fan base. There is some word that it will make a return eventually, though. In mid-April, Alex Summers from Activision said that Verdansk would come back for “certain platforms” during a livestream.
In other news, the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet legendaries are indeed vehicles like motorbikes, boats, and gliders, and a price error for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC will result in refunds to players.
