Despite all the news we’ve had for Hogwarts Legacy, we haven’t heard anything about any special or collector’s editions of the game, nor have we heard about the pre-order bonuses like limited edition DLC or other content. However, hidden files on the game’s own website may have given us a clue by listing eight different extras that will likely be included with different versions of the game.
The extra DLC found on the Hogwarts Legacy website
Eight game edition extras or pre-order bonuses were found in the source files of the game’s website by Reddit user u/opalelement. Some of the items will be digital-only content, while some will be exclusive to a Digital Deluxe Edition, although the website’s files didn’t specify which of the items fell into each category. There were also no details on any other editions of the game. The eight extra items are:
- Thestral Mount
- Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack
- Dark Arts Battle Arena
- Dark Arts Garrison Hat
- 72 Hours Early Access to the Game
- Kelpie Robe
- Steel Case
- Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book
We can deduce that the steel case will only be a part of physical editions of the game, while the three-day early access period will likely be associated with a special edition like the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book also sounds suspiciously like a physical statue-like item that would be included with a Collector’s Edition, although this is just conjecture. It’s worth remembering, though, that these items were hidden in the site’s source files and may have changed during development, or they may not have even existed in the first place being merely placeholders. Hopefully, we hear something more soon.
In other gaming news, microtransactions may be coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and players are getting upset. Elsewhere, Skull & Bones is rumored to be getting a new reveal and release date next month.
